See my #212. It's the context of the movie and the portrayal of the homosexual lifestyle. Dogday was based on an actual even and the homosexuality was a sideline to the main plot. Brokeback, OTOH, centered on the *love story*, which was the general raison d'etre of the entire movie.

Bruce Willis played a gay doctor once in an Ally McBeal episode and his character in the Jackal was gay or bi. There also was Tom Hanks in Philadelphia, Matt Damon in The Talented Mr. Ripley, Dennis Quaid in Far From Heaven, Clive Owens in Bent, Liam Neeson in Kensey, Will Smith in Six Degrees, Tom Selleck in In and Out, Cuba Gooding, Jr. and Greg Kinnear in As Good As It Gets, and The Rock in Be Cool.. how many of them do we judge as actors as ‘promoting the homosexual agenda’ because of their roles?
