Carl Cameron says it'll become offical sometime later this week.
Oh well, we're doomed. Let's hope it'll be minimal damage until 2012.
Without your help?
I’m sure he will do a poll, but considering the fact that this is a Fred thread, and not a Mitt thread, perhaps the gloaters could try backing off.
After they're grown, picked and washed, sure.
Well, I dont think Im going to convince you to vote for Romney, so Ill stop trying.
I agree there are a few pouty babies who will not vote period... so I say let them go pout and see what they get!!
Until then, Ill bear up under the criticisms you think are warranted.
The Party is not to blame for what a lame duck Prez (Bush) decides to do in the waning years of his Presidency. Too bad you are turning your back on your party when it really needs everyone’s help to keep Hillary or Obama out of office.
ROFL! :-)
McCain will choose Mark Sanford (Southwest + South, Senator + Governor, Old + Youngish, Moderate + Conservative).
Duncan Hunter 31.0% 1,819 Fred Thompson 21.4% 1,258 Ron Paul 11.6% 681 Rudy Giuliani 8.4% 493 Mike Huckabee 8.0% 472 Mitt Romney 7.1% 415 Tom Tancredo 5.7% 332 Alan Keyes 3.9% 229 Other 1.8% 104 John McCain 1.2% 70 100.1% 5,873
I’m a big Romney supporter, lol. Re-read my post. Unemployment numbers dropped, that means more people employed - that’s good. Romney did this in spite of the liberal legislature, that was my lame point.
Exactly why I pay no attention to the Freepers who claim the "dinosaur media" is dying.
Fred might have broken loose from the back if he had openly and continually challenged the bias of the MSM. I don't know if he would have succeeded, but I believe that no conservative who fails to take that approach has any chance.
In TN both FRed and Duncan are on tghe Ballot..they have alreadyh been printed and will still fly...
I already voted for Duncan last Wednesday when early voting started..
I’m glad I did...
No regrets...not ever...
I have no negative comments to eat.
Conservatives are smart. I look forward to the day when I can apply that adjective to a majority of the GOP electorate. They get so caught up in the race and who is ahead and who the media thinks has a chance, that they allow the media and others to distort and/or define the finish line. They choose champions for their causes who have never taken up the sword and fought for that cause. Their reliance is upon empty words soon to become broken promises and cowardice disguised as compromise. They speak of reality as reason, but will refuse to own that reality after the deed is done. Try to find a Californian who voted for Arnie and that should leave nothing to doubt.
I hope so.
And if that can’t happen, take out my trash and change my oil?
Yes, you make a very good point. Makes me wonder why I hung on so long. Probably had something to do with the fact that I can't seem to find anyone else I feel strongly about supporting. I'm really very worried about the outcome of this election. I just don't know how our country can make it through another 8 years of Clinton et al.
Posting this again so I can correct the mistake I typed in it earlier:
Carl Cameron just interviewed Romney about Freds dropping out, and he (unlike the Huckster) was completely gracious, praised Thompson, and when asked by Carl if hed be thinking of Thompson as a possible VP choice if Romney won the candidacy for Prez, Romney said Fred was a great American and would be a good person to consider. (Im paraphrasing here, as Carl was on that car phone thingy they use all the time now, and he and Romneys conversation was breaking up. But I got the gist of it, and it was Romney praising Thompson and saying he had good ideas for consideration.
Oh yeah, “sending a message” worked real well in November 2006.
“True conservatives” = Closet liberals?
Won’t matter. Romney will win, and if Thompson voters switch to him, as they should, he’ll win easily.
Now that was funny....surely needed something to laugh about, so thank you
