Oh well, we're doomed. Let's hope it'll be minimal damage until 2012.

Late in 2006, McPain was the frontrunner because he had the name ID that the sheeple could recognize. It’s pretty much like 2007 did not occur, and here we are again poised to push McPain to the top. Name ID and “it’s my turn” means everything to rank-and-file Republicans.

To paraphrase Churchill: Of all the Republicans, Romney is the worst...except for all the rest.

WHO, exactly, is telling you who the frontrunner is? The liberal drive-by media? And you’re believing them?

I see this as the major problem today. Even conservatives are going by what the drive by media tells them. You want to have a poll instead of an election?

Please, please, conservatives. Stop reciting the gloom and doom that you’re being fed by the drive-by media. Get out there and WORK.

Conservatives are not lazy.

It is very simple. Romney is the most conservative and most capable of the lot.

Yup, and hypocrats too, then they’ll blabber about term limits with a straight face, right after giving themselves a raise.

Politicians are good at: “do as I say not as I do”.

Thompson is the Ross Perot of this race. We’re screwed!!

*rolls eyes* Not even close. Perot was a populist who only bi*ched and moaned about the state of the country and never offered any solutions of his own. Fred offered solutions for all the problems the conservatives complain about, though his were based on folks doing for themselves within their states, when the solutions were best handled there, instead of at the federal level.

Perot ran as a third party candidate in the General Election, so took votes away from the Republican candidate, allowing x42 to gain the Presidency with only 43% of the popular vote. Fred had as much right as anyone else to put his name in contention with the other candidates in the primaries. If folks had wanted to vote for McCain, Huckabee or Romney they would have done that anyway.

"Might" makes me feel so much better....

Makes me feel a hell of a lot better than having ANY Democrat in the White House, making decisions that will directly and negatively affect mine, and my family's security.

Miscontrued statements, but you can believe them if you like. Fred never lusted after the Presidency. He didn’t need the office to fulfull some lifelong personal ambition, nor for any personal aggrandisement. He truly thought he had something to offer the country in his conservative, issues oriented campaign. Unfortunately, though conservatives liked to SAY that’s what they wanted in a Presidential candidate, when push came to shove, most didn’t vote for him. Most aggravating was that the problems they had with him weren’t with his IDEAS, it was because of his LOOKS! So sad.

I ask you to think about what Fred would do. Fred would NEVER consider staying home from an election. He would consider all of the options, weigh everything in the balance, and make a quality decision to vote for someone he believes would move the conservative cause forward.

Well said!! WWFD? ;o)

I don’t see Newt as the one to be our nominee. He seems to have strayed far from the conservative line over the last few years. He’s been drinking the Human caused Global Warming kool aid, which completely disqualifies him in my book.

I agree...so what planet is Michael Reagan living on saying that we, the base, are dying for him???

Why should any candidate have to do a dance to get votes? Why should we require a candidate to ‘look good’? Don’t the issues mean anything, anymore? Some voters this primary season seemed like they wanted their candidate to grovel before them to get their votes.

I wonder why Michael Reagan seems to think he has any credibility saying anything about which Republican candidate is best for us? Didn’t he loudly and publicly leave the party a couple of years ago and become one of the vaunted ‘Independents’?

I’m a mom living in PA myself. My kids are in Ohio tho!

Isn’t it amazing that these pouters don’t realize we’re in the mess we’re in because they gave us Carter and Clinton—twice? I seem to remember it was Jimmy who said Iran—and we—would be much better off with the Ayatollah running things... A friend of mine spent 444 days as a hostage there after that.

Sometimes I wonder if these are actually teenagers...

Who knows...Fox continues to make him the voice of conservatism. I thought he was endorsing the Huckster, too.
