I hope Katherine stays out of it. She is the kiss of death. Her campaign was atrocious when she ran for Senate...if fact, her race was the first called after about 2 percent was realized. Although I never understood why they called it so quick, but I guess they just knew what the result was. I like what she did in Florida 2000 - her job, but I think she should sit this one out in terms of endorsing.

Illegal immigration will be the most important issue to me when I vote in Tennessee this week.
I will be voting for Mitt Romney.

ugh! You have got to be kidding. Well it is a strike against him. Thanks God he is conservative on other issues, but his support of McCain/Feingold and McCain in 2000 are definately chinks in the conservative shield.

Everybody needs to realize that most mainstream Republicans are actually RINOs.
So the fact that so many mainstream Republicans are endorsing Romney is a dead giveaway as to his true character and intentions. </sarc>

Tell me... which liberal Democrat made these statements?
* “You said we would fight for every job! You said that we would fight to get health care for all Americans! You said we’d fight to secure our border! You said we’d fight for us to be able to get lower taxes for middle-income Americans!”
* “Guess what they’re doing in Washington: They’re worrying, because they realize, the lobbyists and the politicians realize, that America now understands that Washington is broken. And we’re going to do something about it.”
* “Washington told us that they’d get us better health care and better education but they haven’t. Washington told us they’d get us a tax break for the middle-income Americans but they haven’t.”

I didn’t attack anyone. I was simply stating that two individuals were similarly recoviering from a leftist political bent.
What part of that is personal? By the poster’s own admission he is a recovering Deomocrat, and Mitt has openly stated that he has recently become enlightened about his previous stances regarding abortion, gay-marriage etc.

Good thing McCain has the support of the Cuban community! This will be important in our primary here in FL.

Some of us have been on this forum a lot longer than you and can tell you that Recovering_Democrat is more than a one-dimensional poster. What he generally posts is thoughful and reasoned.I appreciate those kind words, V. Sometimes the "are you Recovered yet?" line gets a little old...thanks for not piling on!

He is another in the believe what I am saying today instead of looking at my record group of politicians. He cowtowed for 4 years to a liberal legislature - what will he do with a liberal senate? Really? Can you give specific examples where he kowtowed to the liberal legislature?

Tell me. How many of these endorsements are from non-Mormons?No idea. Do you know? I know I am not a Mormon, and I've moved to his camp.
BTW, who gives a damn whether he is Mormon? I don't vote for or against someone based merely on their sex, race, or religion.
Mitt's dad was a three term governor several DECADES AGO...he was liked because he was a good governor, not disliked because he had a quirky religion.
