Fred HAS to win the Republican nomination!!! Here's why:
Even with limited funds, Fred can still prevail. And the contributions will greatly increase with a clear and firm statement that he will continue through the convention. Many of the voters fear wasting their votes and money on someone who will give up before the 'fat lady sings'.
Give them what they want - a firm commitment - and the votes and money will come in like a tidal wave. Do not acknowledge any possibility of loss. Be resolute and absolutely believe that Fred will win, and convey that commitment to the people. Fred needs to have and make this commitment, and so does his staff. The MSM has too many times alleged that senior staffers have hinted of his dropping out.
It won’t let me vote again...it says I’ve already voted in this poll
Thanks for passing along that great story.
Let’s have a toast: Thompson or no Party.
Go Fred!
Of course you are suggesting that Romney, Rudy, and Huckaboob should withdraw and stop splitting the Thompson vote. Right? After all, none of them have enough delegates to win the nomination.
Oh, neither does McCain...you think maybe this is what the “primary season” - which now runs for 4 years before the election - is about, isn’t it? Allowing Republicans to select the best man for the job, and then nominate him? Oops, no. I forgot, primary season is when we ask the MSM and other left-wing groups to chose who will be the easiest candidate to defeat, who will turn as many Conservatives away from the party as possible.
Fred isn’t going to be the nominee and Santa Claus isn’t real. Time to grow up and face reality.
< < Oh really? Well, it looks like he might bail soon, from the news Im hearing. > >
Well, stop listening to news from leftist news media and opponents who fear having a consistent conservative in the race.
When nearly 1200 votes are needed for the nomination, and no one is anywhere close (no one has close to 200), why would anyone think of withdrawing? FRed campaigns in person, meeting the voters, instead of doing 30 second sound bytes on the tele. Media hates being bypassed, so that’s just another reason for them to hate him.
Listen to the candidate, not his opponents. Listen to the conservatives, not the liberals.
STAND STRONG.
delete your cookies and retry. Huckaboobs are spamming it like crazy.
After working closeley on the regulatory issues of the American rural West for more than 15 years, I can authoritatively say that our culture and economy is on the ropes and sliding into extinction. We will not survive the return of another strong central regulatory administrative hammer like in the days of Bill Clinton. I look at who is running and I see only Fred Thompson stands for the Reagan tradition of limited government and local control. No Hillary, no Obama, no Gulliani, no McCain, no Huckabee ( and Romneys record shows) no Mitt will keep the hollowing out of America from happening. If Fred’s ship goes down, then I am afraid, the rural West will go with him.
Ok womanvet, you just hang in there. go fred
“Seems you also misunderstood Fred’s ‘line in the sand’ comment. It wasn’t about HIM staying in the race. All he ever said about his part in the race was that it was their hope and expectation that he would do well. His comment had to do with whether or not the Republicans would draw a line in the sand to hold back liberalism in the party.”
Seemed fairly clear to me that he was talking about his role in the election.

“I noticed that they had a little election in Iowa and they had a little election in New Hampshire, and I’m drawing a line in the sand in South Carolina,” said Thompson, fighting a sore throat. “We had a different winner in each one of those places and we’re going to have a different winner in this one.”

“I’ve got to do very well here,” Thompson said. “I don’t think that’s any secret. And I’m just acknowledging the obvious.”
As a Fred supporter (Ex I guess now) I agree 100% with your assessment.
What unhinged ranting. Its so desperate and sad.
