NEVER GIVE UP!  NEVER GIVE UP!  NEVER GIVE UP!

Don't let Fred quit.

Fred HAS to win the Republican nomination!!!  Here's why:

  1. Our country has never faced greater peril than now.  Islam seek our destruction and the establishment of a world-wide caliphate.  Illegal aliens have invaded who threaten the rule of law and are continuing to do so.  Socialists are destroying the moral fabric and character of our country by advocating government control over every aspect of our lives.  Communism has resurfaced to threaten  Judeo-Christian values and promote atheism and mediocrity and the undermining of our economy.  We are under unprecedented physical, spiritual, moral, and financial attack by our enemies.
  2. Our country, as leader of the free world and a bastion of freedom, can not long survive if a Democrat or RINO is elected President in this election cycle.
  3. All of the other remaining candidates are RINOs and no Rino can win the general election this time.   Even if a RINO could win, the end results would be the same.
  4. The nomination of a RINO will destroy the Republican party for at least 20 years, if our country manages to survive that long.
  5. Without a strong and true conservative to lead us, our country will not be able to withstand all the threats we are facing.
I realize that the odds are stacked against winning, but not insurmountable.  The RNC primary rules penalize the early primary states, and Fred has a devoted base in almost all the later primary states as well as most all of the Southern and Midwest states.  The egos of the RINOs will not allow them to drop out, resulting in a fractured and split result for the convention.  None of the delegates will support one of the other RINOs in a brokered convention, but they will support a true conservative.

Even with limited funds, Fred can still prevail.  And the contributions will greatly increase with a clear and firm statement that he will continue through the convention.  Many of the voters fear wasting their votes and money on someone who will give up before the 'fat lady sings'.

Give them what they want - a firm commitment - and the votes and money will come in like a tidal wave.   Do not acknowledge any possibility of loss.  Be resolute and absolutely believe that Fred will win, and convey that commitment to the people.   Fred needs to have and make this commitment, and so does his staff.  The MSM has too many times alleged that senior staffers have hinted of his dropping out.

NEVER GIVE UP!  NEVER GIVE UP!  NEVER GIVE UP!

Ummm ... jellybean, ... I've tried that out with my wife and it's not working all that great. What should I do now?

He IS expected to visit Florida. The illness of his mother has resulted in his going home to TN to visit her in the hospital. The last I heard was that he was expected in Florida on Tuesday. This may be outdated information; I have not heard anything to the contrary. REC meeting is on tomorrow night and perhaps I will find out more details then.

Hubby and I did the early voting on Saturday. Fred got two votes in Jacksonville, Florida.

I am also doing phone calls to chase any absentee ballots. I have done part of Duval county and am half way through Clay county.

I certainly am not giving up; no matter how many people hang up on me or cuss me out. I am still going to chase down those absentee ballots still uncast. There are still people out there that are undecided or who have just forgotten to send those ballots in.

GO FRED GO!!!

What should I do now?

Tell her she's the most fascinating creature you've ever met and your life would be nothing without her! Then do what Winston Churchill did...go smoke a cigar and have a glass of brandy. :D

“I’m tired of hearing who Thompson hurts if he stays in...”

Who cares who he hurts? What you should care about is who he’s helping.

I think Fred is hurting himself by staying in too long. He reminds me of a boxer that just hates to hang up the gloves.

I was a Tancredo supporter and I think he did us all a favor by being realistic about his chances. He moved the illegal alien debate to the forefront of national politics and when he saw he could not win he threw his support where he thought it would do the most good. Tancredo is a classy guy and a true patriot.

Should be..."Nothing would make RINO’s happier".

http://travismonitor.blogspot.com/2008/01/state-of-presidential-primary-race.html

Duncan Hunter has officially dropped out today. Fred Thompson, who staked his ground in South Carolina but ended up way short of Huckabee and a distant third, is a press release away from the same. The pundits are casting aspersions on Rudy Guiliani’s lifeless corpse of a campaign, which has shown no sign of life in the first 6 primaries; Florida is make-or-break for him; even Ron Paul has won more votes than Rudy. The media is unofficially calling Huckabee dead, as he was unable to parlay his Iowa win into anything but 2nd and 3rd place showings since, including the most evangelical state in the nation, South Carolina. His runner-up speech was defiant in his promise to his flock to keep on marching, but where will he win?

...

So it is down to Romney v McCain for the nomination. McCain is the favorite. The rest of the candidates have no hope of gaining the nomination at this time.

“I agree, Fred needs to soldier on.”

OK. So he peels off 10% of the conservative vote, and McCain runs up wins in all the WTA states with independents and moderates and conservatives split Huck, Fred, Romney ...

What thank you does McCain give Thompson for that?

I think Romney is a stalking horse for McCain in order to lure conservatives away from Fred by dangling bright, shiny baubles in front of them so McCain will get the nomination. Unfortunately they may realize too late that it’s only fools gold and cubic zirconia.

I think Huckabee is the stalking horse for McCain and he is holding Conservatives who want to vote for Fred [the real conservative] hostage by making them feel guilty if they don’t vote for “the nice talking pastor guy” so that McCain will get the nomination. Fortunately, I think his followers will realize soon that their faith and faith in Huckabee are not and should not be related.
