Let Fred stay as long as his money holds out. Anything can happen in a brokered convention.
To: Soliton
If you take all the Thompson voters, plus the McCain, Huckabee and Romney voters who like Thompsons position best but didnt vote for him only because they succumbed to media propaganda that Thompson cant win, then you have a majority base of support for Thompson.

Fred will stay in at least until super tuesday and likely through the convention. That will piss off a LOT of anti-Fred’s and that breaks my heart a lot but ya know, these things happen in politics.

Don't ask me why a conservative would vote for Huckabee, but without Fred, Huckabee would have won S.C. big.I can't think of a better reason for Fred to stay in the game.

You are correct. A Fred departure gives a big boost to Huckleberry. And that in and of itself is more than enough reason for fred to stay in.

Fred and Mitt are the only two candidates who will make it to the convention with a chance of winning. McCain and Huckabee will both hold delegate blocks with no chance of expanding beyond them. McCain is the independent's candidate. Huckabee will be unmasked shortly and be left with only what he has won to date.
That leaves a brokered convention with Fred and Mitt as the only possible contenders. Mitt will hold several times Fred's delegates, but no majority.
If this realization sets in earlier, Fred's primary voting support may surprise and he will go in with more.
Fred should stay in if he can finance it.

I can't think of a better reason for Fred to stay in the game.Amen.
To: barryg
I think Huckster should leave the race. We need a true conservative.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
If he stays there will be trouble...
If he goes there will be DOUBLE.
He should stay.

“This clarifies the picture somewhat. Thompsons support is much higher than primary results suggest.”
The polls that count indicate otherwise.
It’s up to the candidate to overcome the MSM especially Republicans.
Fred has shown he can’t fight the MSM. How would he as POTUS?
We don’t need another Bush!

Thank goodness Fred ruined Huckabee’s big moment. If people think that the MSM can win an election for McCain in a Republican primary.....bring it on. He’s nothing without jellos.

There will be no brokered convention. McCain won SC and will win FL, too. Then, McCain will win NJ and NY and pick up most of CA. This race is over.

“Fred has shown he cant fight the MSM.”
This is a misstatement. The alternative to what Freds doing is to do what the rest of them dosuck up to the media!
Fred is doing it his way.
