These past months of reading the threads have been such fun because of how you express yourself.

Now if his graphics are uniquely slowing down the threads, maybe a word is in order, but I don’t know that is the case (and I guess Jim and the mods ultimately have to decide that).

Its OK to not be a Pats fan, but you have to respect the talent. Come on...just accept the inevitable. It makes it so much easier....
Please read what I have said - while New England got caught cheating and they are classless and arrogant, they could be the best team I have ever seen.
With Bender gone this becomes a very boring thread IMHO. For the Super Bowl I am going to start a separate thread for those who don't to be put to sleep by the sound of crickets.

It’s not denial, it’s a fact. For month on every single NFL discussion on every single discussion board that allows the NFL to be discussed the pack of whining idiots that need to get a freaking life have been erecting the same monotonous chorus.
the pats cheated, whine whine whine, they run up the score, whine whine whine, belichick is a meany, whine whine whine, they have no class, whine whine whine whine whine whine whine whine whine whine whine whine whine whine whine whine whine whine.
It’s really boring. It’s really stupid, and every single person that’s participated in it needs to be mocked for being such a pathetic stupid whiner.
Understand the rule. Teams are allowed to video tape the game. Teams are allowed to study the opponents visual signals. The only thing they aren’t allowed to do is use video tape to study the opposing signals. That’s why the rule is stupid. Add to that the fact that they keep not allowing the defense to use helmet radios like the offense, thus forcing teams to use the visible (stealable) signals, and yes you wind up with the stupidest rule in the game. Any rule that says you can steal signals with your eye, you can steal signals with binoculars, you can steal signals that the TV networks show (which they do a couple times a game, all TV footage is usable, that’s part of the league rules), you can steal signals by making half the people in the stands your employees taking notes, you just can’t use a video camera to steal signals, is stupid. And that’s the rule, so if there’s anybody in denial here it’s the people that aren’t willing to admit it’s a stupid rule. A stupid rule that I bet one American dollar will go away this year when they give the defense helmet radios.
It’s not just my opinion. It’s the opinion of every single ex-coach ESPN talked to on the issue. There’s no such thing as running up the score when there are people PAID to not let them score on the field, those people need to do their job, and when they fail to that’s their problem.
There’s no strange logic to it at all. If the Redskins were still trying to win then so were the Pats. If the score was close enough that the Skins had a chance (ie, they were “trying to win”) then it was close enough that the Skins had a chance (ie, the Pats are legitimate in scoring more to increase the lead). If the game was functionally over (ie, the Pats were running up the score) then it was functionally over (ie, the Skins were just getting ego points to avoid a shutout). It’s simple goose-gander logic, if scoring under circumstance X is “classless” when one team does it then it has to be “classless” for the other team, if scoring is OK for one team then it has to be OK for the other.
Sorry but your obsession with tearing down what they accomplished, your need to wave around your ass-terisks, shows that any compliment you give the Pats is just cover. You really don’t want to give them credit, you want to give them ass-terisks.
When you stop acting like a whiner, when you stop showing yourself to be a liar, when you get a life and stop obsessing on a rule infraction that has already been punished, when you can stop griping about “classless” scoring, then I’ll stop pointing out that you’re a whining obsesses liar. The truth is never an insult, and if you feel the truth is insulting you then you need to change the truth. Stop the whining and I’ll stop calling you a whiner.
