I remember this Beasley character from high school, believe it or not. Real haughty, "high and mighty" kid. He's fifty, now, and a former Governor. The first Governor to unilaterally announce the displacement of the Confederate Battle Flag from Capitol in Columbia. Sure screwed that up, and got fired for it, by the voters. It worked out to everyone's satisfaction, except his, I suppose. Seems there was a misuse of state funds for something or another, too.

Let's get something straight. Not until tonight, perhaps, no majority of the folks everyone is referring to as "evangelicals" has voted for Hucky Cheese. It's a classic exercise in illogic to presume that a majority of, so-called, "evangelicals" have, until now, voted for the Rodent Eater. This may have been true last night in SC, but it's the first of the first. A majority of those who voted for this Clinton straw-man may have been "evangelical," but that does not mean a majority of evangelicals who voted, voted for the Huckster.

This presumptious neurotic, who used to be a mile wide but was never more than an inch deep, has done nothing to improve the reputation of the Southern Baptists.

And having the haughty, high-and-friggin' mighty Beasley whine about their not being able to handle the heat is putting truth to the perception the former Governor of Arkansas has been stopped flat... by McCain. It's Queeg's night, and my hat's off to the little "Regulator." A blind man can see, though, that Romney and Fred split the uncompromising Conservative vote, and together, they would have come in second or a strong third in a three-way split.

If all Fred has accomplished is to slap the paint off the Huck Delusion, then he's done the Republican Party a tremendous favor. I fear he will bow out now, and that's too bad. A substantive Republican has been stymied by a Cult of the Personality that comes close to a heresy of Christianity. It comes close to idol worship from the same set of misguided people who can't tell the difference between Society and Government, but wear a Republican label. A very confused bunch.

And another thing. Just what is an "evangelical?" Does this mean Christian? I heard Freddy Barnes call them "born-agains" tonight, but I thought all Christians believed John correctly reported what Jesus said when he quoted Him saying, "verily, verily, unless you are born again, you cannot inherit the Kingdom of God."

Obviously, this is some kind of codeword with a meaning shared by outsiders, a bigoted, politically correct mockery. Christian or not, our Islamofascist enemies think everyone one in America are Christians; "crusaders," Bin Laden calls us. Thank God, if it's true, for sending us Fred to stop this pasty-faced "funk-a-mentalist" self-parody from becoming the face of America, the face of Christian-America, or the face of Christianity in the ongoing world war still liable to be underway for quite some time.

Bottom line, and for the record, if Fred hadn't been in the race, I hope it's clear as can be to anyone who's interested, Governor Huckabee still would not received this Christian's support. Not now, not ever.

Ditto, that. I had composed my own long post...yours was much more polite.
