In the stuffy world of politics, the Ron Paul campaign has earned the reputation of being something like a raucous, freedom-loving party. A raucous, freedom-loving party with lots of paranoid bigots. So it would probably be more surprising if the band reportedly headlining RonPaulapalooza didn't have a few teeny-tiny problems with the Jews, who they feel are trying to destroy everybody. The band Poker Face enjoys churning out a hard-chargin' "freedom rock" that they developed under the influence of Boston, the Beatles, and Frank Zappa, as well as a firm conviction that the Holocaust did not happen and that the Jews are in fact the lead agents of a "Satanic World Order."
And according to a notice sent out by RonPaulaplooza organizers, you can get yourself a taste when Poker Face (along with some "lesser-known bands") rocks the big event, now tentatively scheduled for the Fourth of July holiday weekend in Morehead, Kentucky. As of post time, organizers had not responded to Radar's anxious inquiries about the possible co-appearance of a sassy little slice of pizza known to sling some fairly dope rhymes about the Ron Paul revolution.
Just more spam to add to my BlackElk 'blah, blah, blah file.
Why is it so hard to return a check from an avowed neo-Nazi and white supremacist, or to refuse to appear on the radio program of someone who believes that the United States government orchestrated the destruction of the Twin Towers and attack on the Pentagon, or to reveal who penned those defamatory, racist, anti-Semitic newsletters if-as he claims-he is not the sole author?
My problem isn’t that he has bigots supporting him. Frankly, all candidates attract bigots of some kind.
My problem is that he chooses to associate himself with them so strongly. The main act at his concert is a bunch of Holocaust deniers? His supporters don’t see why some of us have a problem with that?
If he’s not a racist, he needs to do some housecleaning.
“It’s time we gave this band of sideshow freaks the bum’s rush out of our party...or at least FR.”
I agree.
Why is it that the first response from a Ron Paul supporter, when his candidate's character, judgment, or choices are called into question, is to attempt to belittle one of his opponents?
I've got news you, even if Fred Thompson-or Mitt Romney, or Rudy Giuliani-is guilty of some comparable ethical lapse or egregiously misguided decision it does not mitigate the impact of Paul's questionable decisions.

Quoting Fred directly is belittling him? That’s an argument worthy of the Democrats.

Paul supported Campaign Finance Reform like Fred? He is a gun grabber like Rudy? He supported gay marriage like Mitt? He supported foreign dictators like Fred? He supported sanctuary city status like Rudy? He supported socialized healthcare like Mitt? He represented abortionists like Fred? He promoted abortion like Rudy? He flip flopped on it like Mitt?
I am attacking policies. You are unfairly attacking character.
Still haven't addressed any of the valid questions about Ron Paul-much like Paul himself.
How exactly does telling someone you don’t want their support violate their 1st Amendment rights? I didn’t say Paul should sic the police on them.
Call that yelping if you want, but your truther-backing blame-America loser is not selling with me.
Show me the post where I said all of Paul's supporters are Truthers and Nazis. Heck, show me where I said most of them are. I'll wait. [Jeopardy theme begins playing]
Seems like somebody is being a disingenuous poster, and his initials are EEE.
Show me a post where I said I think Ron Paul is himself a Nazi. I'll wait. [Jeopardy theme continues to play]
In post 262 of this thread you will find a post by Eric Blair. He's listening live to the Alex Jones show during Paul's appearance. He mentions that Jones tells Paul "We are your base here." Paul does not disagree.
Imagine if Fred or Huckabee was at an appearance and someone from Planned Parenthood stood up and said, "We at Planned Parenthood are your base" and the candidate just let that sail by. What would you say about that?
My FR posts alone would be enough to convict me! :-{D>
I’m flattered that anybody gives a crap what I said. Thank you.
Obviously, Paul is not Presidential material. Great congressman though. We need 100 more like him.
Sure, and Huck repudiated those push poll calls lying about Fred's record. Not good enough.
Dont blame me if Mr. Professional Writer cant figure out how to play a youtube video.
You seem very bothered by the fact that I do that for a living. It really makes you sound like Grandpa Simpson.
I asked if you were the writer of this hitpiece. I can only guess you are since you have just been sitting there and grinning about it.
Oh, I probably missed that because your posts are becoming pretty much spam. No, I did not write this, I am not Nick Curran, I have never worked for Radar.
I was not the one who described it as that. GovernmentIsTheProblem did so, if I recall correctly.
I thought you'd like to take in the latest Ron Paul news is all.
Man, that’s gonnna leave a mark.
A sharp salute for your Uncle Bill, a hero proved in liberating strife who died while helping save the world.

I have to admit, it's great to see that no matter what comes up, you guys learn to love and believe in Blimp Brother again.
Good shoot.
