Somewhere, somehow the party has to keep the non-Republicans out of the nominating process. It obviously screws up the selection of a conservative candidate.
You're presupposing the 'party' wants conservatives participating in the primaries.
To me its rather obvious they don't want us involved. They're happy for our support in the general election, though, once their RINO has been ordained.
