When your eyeballs are hanging out and you want a five-minute break from the SC primary news, take a gander at #424 on the current Freepathon thread.

It's the official announcement of the FReepathon Memorable Movie Moments contest! The contest is a fund-raiser for FR.

It'll be great fun if you enter this easy contest and even greater fun reading other freepers' entries, especially if you're a movie afficianado from the silents up to today's motion pictures.

Louella Parsons (your hostess for the contest)

“Democrats are notoriously unreliable voters in bad weather. Instead of putting on galoshes and going to the polls, they sit on their porches waiting for FEMA to rescue them. “

I just got back from my polling place where I proudly voted for Fred Thompson. The media is all over the place and I even bumped into Fox News’ Carl Cameron and caught a glimpse of the McCain campaign bus driving by. Lets hope Thompson does well.

I'll be changing my party affiliation after this season, from GOP to Indy.

There's no point in voting in primaries where my vote can be cancelled out by a moron who decided how to vote based on the last political ad he heard on the car radio on the way to the polls.

Do Mommy or Daddy know you have been playing with their Freeper sign on child? They are going to be very upset with you when you get them suspended.

Election day updates 4:30 p.m.

The polls don’t close until 7 p.m., but South Carolina shuts down when it snows. And light snow was reported at 4 p.m. in Clemson, Greenville and Rock Hill, according to the National Weather Service.

People who were waiting for a break in the weather to head to the polls might decide simply to hunker down.

The snow line is expected to drop down across the state throughout the afternoon, reaching as far south as Columbia. About an inch is expected in the Midlands and up to three inches in the Upstate.

Polling officials in some parts of the state said they believed turnout was heavy early because of the forecast for snow later in the day. But in reality, the weather was nasty all day. Sites throughout the state reported steady rain, up to an inch throughout the center of the state.

CNN reporting that McCain’s bid to get a judge to extend voting hours in a SC county has been rejected. All SC polls will close in less than two minutes.

2,380 total delegates at convention

1081 delegates to be won on Super Tuesday.

So far 211 won by at least 6 candidates (including today) not all pledged.

It’s a long haul ahead.
