I would say this is highly unlikely in two ways: 1) Fred said he wouldn’t be VP to anyone; 2) McCain has almost 0 chance to get the nomination—he doesn’t have support of the conservative base, which is > 50% of the primary vote. Nor does Rudy.

Count their combined totals in any poll. It never exceeds 40%. The chance of your scenario is less than 1%.

That said, I’ll support any Republican candidate over any Dem candidate, for they will do less damage to the country.

That is so true. There will always be large groups of fickle people. I just feel honored to have the option to vote for a leader that reminds me of those who built this country. The new style of “leaders”, the panderers, are revolting.

You make some very good points, Ed. I'll consider what you say. I'll admit original reaction was visceral and a little knee jerk...maybe I could get used to the idea, but it would take ALOT of getting used to. My best bet is to continue working for a Thompson vistory.
