“Interesting SC article on the possible effects of the bad weather:

http://www.thestate.com/presidential-politics/story/289878.html";

Huh. Rain in the south and snow in the north. This should help Fred and Huck, whose voters are value voters. People with a weak or emotional attachment to their candidate will stay at home.

Based on his record, the evidence suggest McCain would make his Judicial Appointments based on “Bi Partisan” appeal rather then ideological soundness. After all, that was the whole point of his Gang of 14 maneuver.

~~~
Frighteningly true, and graphically demonstrates the untrustworthiness of McCrazy ... he's completely volatile and inconsistent...and he's shown us over and over again that he'll make backroom deals with NO regard to principles. The good ole boy network lives .. it IS well past time for TERM LIMITS!!
Gee How convenient -— the press is trying to ram McCain down our throat, and now they have a “Voting machine” problem to report wildly about in a supposed McCain stronghold.
You are NOT unique. Huckabee’s strange lying caught my eye too. Besides his record, which is that of a big government megalomaniac (wanting to wield heavy swords and proclamations), he is dishonest even in situations where being honest could make him MORE attractive. He seems to have a certain pathological mean streak, as well as some corrupt tendencies. It’s like G-d is showing us a hint of an early Bill Clinton, but this time he has an R by his name and a cross in his hand.
But far more useless for those on dial-up are links and threads for videos...lol
Ain't that the truth. lol
An hour to load a 30 sec U tube vid is hardly worth in.
Hardly worth it at all. I bet I've missed some great candidate youtube videos. It ain't worth the aggravation or computer slow down while it's downloading.
Very well put. I've been screaming, albeit typing, about McNuts and sKerry in the 2004 election. The fact that sKerry and dems even approached McNuts about being VP should tell you something about him. He and the Hildabeast are about as far left as you can get. Voting for McNuts is like voting for a democrat and shame on those that do. I honestly hope our fellow Rupublicans and Conservatives vote correctly. The only Conservative Republican in the race is Thompson.
That said,
Go Fred!
“That is what I’ve been doing today. I’ve been praying.”
Me too. I’ve been praying God’s will be done in our nation, and that all the candidate’s true character will be revealed.
I think they should be labeled what they are. RINOs is an inside cue word. They are “Republicans in Name Only” of one believes holding conservative ideals is what a Republican is.
It would be better to call them New Deal Republicans. I read Bill Kristol’s piece today wanting us to make nice but to that I say “this is a primary”. This process is exactly what should be done to vet a leader. We should not be coyly accepting conservative imitations of the worst the Democrats have to offer who use the language of class warfare and silly ideas like being a “compassionate conservative” to try to win the day, not by selling conservative ideas and calling people to their higher angels but instead bringing them down into the chains of their bitter discontent.
We need a leader and I will not vote for a run of the mill politician or a blank check conservative or one who sees his greatest strength in creating legislation with liberals. We see that in CA and if that is the model we need to win then winning isn’t worth the cost.
People have not changed since time began. Huge groups of people have been fooled by shiny objects. It takes minds who have learned to discern in order to elect a real leader.
So, I take it that you were down on all fours supporting the Bush/McCain/Kennendy SHAMNESTY bill.
Wikipedia(I know):”On January 30, 2006, the members of the group unanimously supported a cloture vote in the Alito nomination, providing more than enough votes to prevent a filibuster.”
Again, I agree with you mostly but disagree that a McCain appointment would be unacceptable. Additionally, we may need the ability to filibuster nominees if Hillary is elected.
However, Bourcier said no one is being turned away from the polls because there are paper ballots at the precints where the machines are down.
Did anyone see a little guy with big ears and a bad haircut, driving an EDS truck in the vicinity?
It is in God’s hands now and when the day is done I can say I have supported an honest man who stepped forward because we asked him and that is a win no matter the outcome.
