I will trade you a Charlie Christ ... I voted for a RINO once, and all I got was this stupid “stop global warming” tee shirt. America is about to enter the new age of liberal fascism.

Thank Bush for keeping the Reagan coalition alive. Compassionate conservatism and all the illegals you need. We should have known something bad was going on when Kennedy wrote the education bill, and then turned right around and pissed on Bush’s head. So the next move was to go for AMNESTY. Now we have AMNESTY man leading ... when does it end.

None of the above for me.

Speaking of dying hair. I don’t think I’ve ever agreed with anything Donna Brazille has ever uttered, but she’s a young looking woman and should certainly dye her hair! What’s wrong with dying hair, male or female?

Florida is a winner take all primary. That means that the winner of a plurality of the vote gets to take all the delegates to the convention. Other states split up the delegates proportionately to the vote count among the contenders.

When it comes to National Security, Defense, and War we have to admit that John McCain will make a great Commander In Chief no matter how someone feels about him otherwise.

I somewhat disagree. McNuts is the one who wants to treat POW's with kid gloves and give them rights of U.S. citizens. He wants to close GITMO and do what with the prisoners? Bring 'em here? His military background might be cause to support him, but his mamby-pamby attitude toward prisoners hurts him.

FWIW, if you dig a little deeper into that story about McAuliffe you may find that he never really gave that historical reply to the the Germans. That the ‘Nuts’ was made up to raise our moral.

Because of the debacle and loss of St. Vith, the main German drive initially to the Meuse, and Antwerp, and the fact that the 106th division was encircled in positions near there and two regiments surrendered, Bastogne needed to be ramped up for a rallying point which worked well, and served to make it an 'American' victory.

***McAuliffe sent back to Lüttwitz his now-famous reply: “NUTS!”***

despite all the Republicans “warts”, they all are better than letting Clinton or Obama become the Commander in Chief, our troops deserve better

I remember a couple of weeks ago when Hunter did that, got them all to show up for a press conference.

Unfortunately, SOME freepers actually gave Hunter a lot of grief for that.

“Well the time is getting short....and we will have to choose who we back....can FR handle it?”

Yes, it is time to be pragmatic. Of the bunch, Romney is most palatable. I went from really liking him to thinking he was an opportunist phoney. But Tancredo endorsed him, and wouldn’t have if he didn’t see something there worth endorsing. That, combined with my willingness to believe some of his statements on why his positions have changed, make him the easiest to support. I would support McCain if I had to. I like Huckabee, but he’s said some crazy things lately and some of his positions are unclear or wrong-headed. Yet he has also spoken out more forcefully than anyone about abortion, which is important. The one who needs to get drop-kicked out of the arena is Giuliani. Hopefully in Florida.

Another big factor is that it is a very Military oriented state, and those folks might be voting for him based on this single issue.

~~~
And that’s what I don’t get. Of all the candidates that the military/vets should NOT be supporting, it’s McCrazy. Just for the despicable way he’s treated the VietNam POW issue and backstabbed their families alone brings me to fury. Are their memories that short?
And then there’s his “interrogation of terrorists” positions .. he’s nutz and totally unpredictable and emotionally unstable, IMO.
I won’t even get into the Keating Five and his flagrant, egomaniacal opportunism.
he was not in the Senate then?
He was not even in the House when O'Connor was nominated. I suspect that he would have been in favor of her as she was a relative unknown judicially and she was a Republican who had served as Majority Leader in the Arizona Senate. The overriding problem was to find a female Justice who would have a Conservative bent. There were not many around at the time.
