“The problem with McCain (and Huckabee, Guiliani, and Romney) is that if they win the nomination they will feel they got it because of moderates and not the conservative base of the party”

In McCains case he would be correct. If he wins it will largely be because of moderates and crossover Dems.

You’re talking to the wrong person. That would be a good thing, IMO, but Fred is the one who would have to agree (well, besides Romney).

It seems to be a cultural thing for McCain. He likes the MSM-liberal mentality, and thinks conservatives are a bunch of boobs.

The McCain crowd on Foxstreaming is cheering Fred on for some reason.

the fred factor is being discussed on CNN.

The “Fred Factor” is interesting considering that he could suck the oxygen out of huckabee. Romeny keeps Thompson in the race then it keeps those votes split.

Did you accuse Ronald Reagan of dyeing his hair, too?

Hank Hill: Ronald Reagan did not dye his hair! And if he did it was only to show the Soviets his strength! God, I miss voting for that man.

I don’t mind Willard’s hair dye. Or Reagan’s.

When it comes to National Security, Defense, and War we have to admit that John McCain will make a great Commander In Chief no matter how someone feels about him otherwise.

If Thompson had used the capitol he had back in the summer and spoke to America just the way he did a little bit ago on CNN he would, NO DOUBT, be in the lead. He was AWESOME!!!! Did anyone else see his speech?

I LOVE Fred. What are we to do? This sucks!!!!

I sure hope Fred doesn’t endorse McCain...that just LOOKS so bad. McCain is a loser.

Florence and Horry yet to be tallied. Huckabee should do very well in both of these counties!

Definitely. It was an excellent speech and if he were planning to go on I can't imagine he wouldn't have finished with rallying comments to motivate supporters.

I agree 100%. In fact I would have Fred finish the speech "Thank you again for your support and everyone let's STAND STRONG! STAND STRONG!"

Oh wait, that is how he ended it. damn!
