“Lets hope Huckabee finished dead last behind everybody.
ANYBODY BUT DISGRACEFUL, PATHETIC HUCKABEE AND IM HAPPY!!!”
Agree 100%. He is the worst. A disastrous excuse for a man. A phony, lying opportunist, who does not give a damn about the conservative movement.
I would not be so sure about that. For the Dems it all comes down to the Beast and the Madrassa kid anyway.
With the help of the media, the new, softer Hillary will overcome her negatives and Hillary and Obama will both remain acceptable to most die hard Rats. I will even take it one step further and say that the recent race problem between them was a manufactured event.
By convention time we will see them kiss and make up in one of the most memorable marriages of convenience in US history. President Hillary Rodham and Vice President Barak Hussein Obama.. the ultimate Diversity Dream ticket.
Without Thompson or Hunter the Hillary Obama matchup will be unbeatable. There are way to many people out there willing embrace socialism and or vote just because it will be a woman and a black. Any criticisms by the Republicans will be characterized as the white man trying to keep capable women and blacks out of positions of power and leadership. Romney will be able unify the Republicans enough to overcome the Diversity Dream Ticket and certainly Huck and McLame will be beaten in a landslide.
Many Dems will crossover to vote in the R primary today because there is no downside for them in either a Hillary win or an Obama win in SC primary.
He’s saying that pragmatically, he would vote for Huck to halt the McPain momentum that started in NH. He probably also dislikes NH having so much influence in the process. He thinks that voting for FDT in SC will split the anti-McPain forces and let McPain win. But in doing so, this could cause FDT to drop out next week. And endorse McPain too! It’s madness with these choices.
Weather in Minnesota is -2ºF and windy. Wanna trade?
Fred was asked about the confederate flag during the YouTube debate. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8j1JuVOwNM
I believe that South Carolina is a closed Primary state. Voters vote in the primary according to their party registration. So no crossover voting. Anyone??
You are surely right about the large number of socialists in the USA: maybe more than in Russia!
This just in from the Thompson campaign...
Dear #####,
Today is what we have been waiting for: the South Carolina Primary.
I am writing to you from Columbia, S.C. It’s not exactly warm but it beats the snowstorm we had in Washington on Thursday.
Today is Fred’s big day—and the signs are good.
We make thousands of phone calls daily and they show a clear Fred surge. A number of polls show the same.
One said that 56% of the voters would still consider voting for Fred!
Thanks to you, our media campaign and ground game have been fully funded.
We are going after every available vote.
In the end, I believe Fred will prevail. Here’s why:
He’s the clear conservative choice in the field with the true conservative positions on immigration, taxes and national security and he’s 100% pro-life.
During my career it has been my distinct honor to work for President Reagan, Majority Leader Bob Dole and both President H.W. Bush and President George W. Bush. I know Fred is prepared to be President.
Finally, our party needs a standard bearer who can unite the various factions of the party—Fred is that candidate.
I hope you will be watching returns tonight. I will be spending my day visiting and thanking our excellent volunteer workers and doing media interviews.
It should be an exciting day and it is an honor to be part of it, standing with you and Fred.
Thanks for the opportunity.
Sincerely,
William B. Lacy
Campaign Manager
Romney Thompson is the the ticket to beat the demorats.
Im a very serious Fredhead but a McCain/Thompson ticket would erode alot of the good I see in Thompson. I would lose a tremendous amount of respect for the man.

And I’m not sure I’d ever forgive Thompson for it either.
Fellow conservatives there is no way I’ll cast a vote for John McCain. There is no torture known to man, no amount of Hillary cackles, no Dean Scream loud enough..... you get the drift. The election of John McCain is the end of the Republican Party.
Romney will NOT be able unify the Republicans enough to overcome the Diversity Dream Ticket and certainly Huck and McLame will be beaten in a landslide.
Is it closed? I has been “open” in the past — was open in 2000, wasn’t it?
“Vote for Huckabee. He will boldly defend the Confederate Flag. Fred has been silent on this?”
Come on! It’s not a federal issue! Wake up and pay attention to what’s important!
Sad to say but this is really starting to look like an election where imagine is everything and substance is dead.
Well- all I can do is read between the lines - given what the post itself says. These voters are members of an evangelical church..and that is Huck’s base. Perhaps they’d heard of him from friends at their church? No way to know...
I agree. McCain would do more damage than a democrat, since he would be the face of the party.
And what a face it would be...
I wonder if there are any South Carolina Freepers who got to go to Fred’s Pre-election Rally in Greenville last night. Sure would like to get a report from someone who was there! Do you know if your business associate of yours had planning on going to the rally last night? GO FRED!
Was McPain close to Sandra Day O’Connor? Goldwater voted for her confirmation.
