This is a primary.  This is not a recall or the general election.

This is when we vote for the best man on the ballot.  This is when we winnow the field.  This isn't when we put our finger in the wind, rule out a man of good character because he can't get elected in the fall, and vote for the most popular democrat in republican clothing because we think he can.

Fred Thompson is the best man.  He is not at 1%.  He is at about 14%, and that it is being reported may be a very 'moving target' due to the large segment of undecided voters.

I would urge folks to go with Fred Thompson, the man who looks good on paper, and when you see him interviewed.  For instance, he knows the core Reagan values are not dead, so the era cannot end.  He knows the U.S. Constituion is NOT a living document to be toyed with by judges without clue one.

He understands the federalist vision of the nation, a small central government and more power to the states and the people.

If we pass this guy up, we'll be making a mistake that make take another twenty years to correct.  Conservative men like Fred don't come down the pike every four years.  It just doesn't work that way.

Vote Fred Thompson while we have him available.  Please.

” He knows the U.S. Constituion is NOT a living document to be toyed with by judges without clue one.”

Fred knows the Constitution period. Puts him up above most of them I suspect.

Fred is not perfect. He has made his mistakes and has supported flawed policy. But a man steps up and admits his mistakes, as Thompson has done.

A man does not sell out his constituents for political expediency.

A man does not court a VP slot on a liberal ticket while saying he's conservative.

Nor does a man bastardize his religion and faith to garner political favor.

Fred Thompson is a man.
