The case was called at 13:33, and the Defendant did not show up. There were 2 heavy hitter State's Attorneys here to handle it. The Judge increased his bond to $20,000.00 or 10 percent cash, and put out a warrant for his arrest.
The Defendant called at 13:40 to say that he will be a half an hout late and was waiting for the media to leave. The Judge said in open court that if he does shows up he will be taken into custody, and if he doesn't he is fair game for any law enforcement agency that wants to pick him up.

31 December 2007 Jay R. Grodner, Attorney at Law This one takes the cake. I know Chicago is "Blue", but I also know most folks there are good people... not idiots. I'm not sure about Jay R. Grodner, Attorney at Law. Blackfive has the story. I'd like to use Mr. Grodner's services, and tried to call his business number in downtown Chicago, and in Deerfield, IL. Surprisingly, both phones have been disconnected! How's a professional supposed to make any money with no working telephone?! Need the services of an anti-military Attorney? Mr. Grodner wants to hear from you too. You can go to whitepages.com and type in Jay R. Grodner, Chicago, IL to see what pops up! posted by Greybeard at 00:08
Absolute scumbag (Updated w moralauthority.wordpress.com Found 18 days ago Update : Turns out that Grodner is no stranger to deviant behavior . In addition to being disciplined for being involved in a scheme to forging documents, it has been reported to CLR that attorney Jay Grodner has engaged in a conflict of interest with his clients, has abandoned his clients, has engaged in false billing, has engaged in a fraud upon his clients, provided ineffective assistance of counsel, and has engaged in a "fraud upon the court". Why is this guy still allowed to practice law?
Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some say the ARDC stands for the Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission - others say it stands for the Attorneys' Right to Defraud their Clients. Which do you believe it stands for? Many of you have filed charges of ethical misconduct against an attorney with the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission ("ARDC"), but have not been successful in having the ARDC file a formal complaint against that attorney. When you file a charge against an attorney, the ARDC is limited by law to consider only those ethical misconduct charges over which they have been given authority to act. The area of their jurisdiction can be found in the Illinois Rules of Professional Conduct. As the ARDC is there to protect the attorney and not to protect your rights, the ARDC does NOT send a copy of the "Rule Book" unless a person specifically requests one. That is why copies of the "Rule Book" are brought to each of our monthly meetings for members to take with them. There are over 6000 charges filed each year against attorneys by their clients, yet approximately only 2% of those attorneys are formally charged by the ARDC. Most of the filed charges do not allege a violation of a Rule, or refer to the substance abuse by an attorney which, under Supreme Court Rules, cannot be disclosed to the public. When you file an ethical misconduct charge against an attorney, phrase your charge against a violation of a specific Rule or Rules that have been violated. The Inquiry, Hearing, and Review Boards are incestuous. They are either composed of only attorneys or two-thirds attorneys. An attorney on the Board may be an attorney who is secretly involved in the same misconduct that he is hearing - he will certainly not find another attorney in violation of an ethical violation if he is involved in the same misconduct. If you believe that your charge is a valid charge, have it posted on the Citizens Web-site on the Internet for all to see. Prior to this time, no person saw your charge and the attorney could continue as if no charge had been filed against him, since no current client or potential new client had access to that information. Under the Rules, the ARDC can not disclose whether a charge of misconduct had been filed against the attorney you were inquiring about. We understand that this restriction applies only to the ARDC and does not apply to anyone else. As a service to its members, Citizens is available to review your charge of ethical misconduct against your attorney and make suggestions before you submit it to the ARDC. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Contact Citizens if you have been represented by, or had any contact with: Attorney Marshall J. At the core, it’s STILL the Corps!
God bless this Judge.....
But then God already did that, he allowed him to become a Marine!

Finally, I hear of a judge I like.
At the core, it’s STILL the Corps..
Thanks for the ping.....
What great news, LOVE this, what a perfect Judge for this.
As the youngun’s say....”He got pwned.”
The story is coming up on Lou Dobbs. He said it warms his heart when there is justice in our courtrooms. Was Dobbs a Marine?
(chuckle) I guess so, I mean when I have a court appearance (not that I have ever had that many), I show up when I am told, I'm even early!
Cool
These Marines protect his very existence "so people like you can enjoy their freedom." He further said that the reason there were so many in the courtroom and so much public interest is that the Marines have a tradition since 1775 that "No Marine gets left behind." Several Hoorahs in the courtroom. And then the deal was done, and he was taken away by the sheriffs to be released later.
D@mn straight! : )
Chalk one up for the long arm of the Law! ;o)
Dobbs is a populist. He was never a Marine.
ain’t Karma a bitch!
Ah, poetic justice!
