Mine eyes have seen the glory of the burning of the school
We have vanquished every teacher - we have broken every rule
We plan to kill the principal at quarter after two
The school is burning down!
Glory, glory, hallelujah
My teacher hit me with a ruler
Met her up in heaven, back in 1327
And she ain’t my teacher no more “NO MORE”!
that brought back some memories. I guess today the kids would get thrown in jail for singing that old song.
“My teacher hit me with a ruler
Met her up in heaven, back in 1327”
We sang, “Met her at the door with a Magnum .44”.
I wonder how many counties would go into lockdown if some kid sang that today?
-Eric
Our refrain was:
Glory, glory, hallelujah
teacher hit me with a ruler
meet her at the door with a loaded .44
and the teacher ain’t a teachin’ no more!
And this was 1967!
Also, we had this one:
Give a cheer, give a cheer,
to the men who bring the beer
in the cellars, of good old, Gesu
(repeat)
We were rolling on the floor
when the cops came through the door
and we never, saw Gesu, again
(And this was grade school)
