Michigan was allotted 60 delegates but lost 30 due to scheduling their primary prior to Feb 5th. 1 delegate will be awarded per Congressional district to the winner of that district, the other 15 will be awarded proportional to the overall vote.

30 delegates (60 - 50% penalty), district-level WTA (15 districts), plus bonus delegates for the state winner.

if Romeny gets Michigan: WHAT IS THE DELEGATE COUNT!?

I don't think MI is winner-take-all, so they would get about the same

Wendell Goler at McLame’s HQ and a senior McLame operative just admitted that Romney’s probably going to win MI.

Remember, NH had Obama ahead for a looong time before Clinton started to climb and win.

I’ve been around here and, thank God, in real life to know that what others think is of very little consequence to me in these matters. The same folks that are telling you and I to tow the party line are the same folks in other threads that are swearing by the forefathers dedication. You can’t have it both ways. You and I have already figured that out.

I wonder about that too.

Current numbers (8% in) are:

Romney 37
McCain 31
Huckabee 16
Paul 6
Thompson 4
Giuliani 3
Uncommitted 2
Hunter -

It is SO obvious, it smacks you in the face.

They’re 10 or more points apart and it’s a “tight race.”

I’ve really been disappointed at how much love FOX has shown McCain. Remember how they use to say “We Report - You Decide” Ah the good ole days.

I hope the GOP doesn’t fool around with anything...

I want the Democrats to be asked why the votes of Michigan do not count... REMEMBER every vote must count!

I want that crap thrown back at the Democraps...

Quiting...giving up ...is never pathetic. We wouldn’t have an America today if men (and women) had not had a vision and listened to doubters.

Farming communities from mid-mitten northward; UP counties in the Eastern time zone. Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Genesee, Ingham and Kent counties won't announce until well after nine, prolly after ten.

BTW--two UP counties are in the CTZ, so their polling stations are just getting ready to close.

Sour grapes coming from McLame's HQ, saying that "well, a win in Michigan isn't as big as McLame's win in NH."....

Brit: I'll give them credit for imagination...

I was driving home, and the news was on between the talk shows....It starts off “Romney should win, it’s his home state, and he’s spent a MASSIVE amount of money in it”. I HATE the media... Anything to deflate a possible a possible Mitt victory

“if Romeny gets Michigan:

WHAT IS THE DELEGATE COUNT!?”

Michigan is a district state like Florida so the popular vote does not add up to delegates necessarily. This has been my big frustration with the MSM including Fox. The contest is about delegates not winning states.
