Citing unspecified serious and credible reports, allegations, and rumors regarding the presidential primary in New Hampshire, Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) is asking for a recount of the vote.
Kucinich, who placed at the back of the Democratic field with less than 1.4 percent of the votes, said in a letter to New Hampshire Secretary of State William Gardner that there were possible vote-count irregularities that have been fueled by the stunning disparities between various independent pre-election polls and the actual election results.
The lawmaker said he does not expect his own vote count to be significantly affected by such a recount but he added that it is imperative that these questions be addressed in the interest of public confidence in the integrity of the election process and the election machinery.
In his request for a recount, Kucinich alleges that there have been unexplained disparities between hand-counted ballots and machine-counted ballots.
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.) won the Democratic primary in a stunning upset of Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.), who had surged to the top of the polls following his win in the Iowa caucuses.
In Iowa, Kucinich had urged his supporters to back Obama.
This is not about my candidacy or any other individual candidacy, Kucinich said. It is about the integrity of the election process
3 percent is a stunning upset?
“Actually, this can be read as Kucinich fighting back against the Clintons. “
Interesting thought, Mortman!
Go Dennis Go!
Great idea Dennis baby...
Just wondering ... would Dennis express similar thoughts if these "possible vote-count irregularities" resulted in a dummycrat defeating a Republican, rather than his favorite dummycrat loosing to another dummycrat?
LOL! Fight for what’s right, Denny!
I thought I heard some cheering wafting in from the left side of the blogosphere. This must be what caused it!
Every one of the Demagogues knows well how crooked their party is..... it’s just that usually they don’t like to admit it in public. Kookcinich must be feeling really lonely to make a spectacle over this, when he knows it won’t go anywhere. It’s just business as usual for the Demagogues, but he has won himself another 15 seconds of pseudo-fame.
Well, he may be a nut, but in this case he is absolutely correct. Hillary stole that election, and it ought to be known.
That's a skin rash you get from your first kucin.
Dang! I hope it goes away if you quit kucin ... in'.
Tee-hee-hee!!!
Right on!
So what if he gets an inquisition, and they DO find fraud; Does Hildabeast get to go on a rant about a Vast Socialist Conspiracy?
It would be so cool if he ended up with less than 1.4% after the recount.
Come on folks, this is too good to pass up.
The prospect of uncovering dem on dem fraud is just a delightful proposition. I would probably have to change my underwear..
I think we now know what a Democrat super-delegate looks like.
No really...do we know for sure where Rove was that night? :)
He's a democrat. Democrats don't have any terrestrials. If I had an extra terrestrial I would be twice as fertile, but I still don't see what it has to do with the primaries.
Probably those same people that are worried about the endangered feces.
A professional rabble rouser. He makes good money at it too.
Well, I think there was almost certainly massive vote fraud, with out-of-staters signing false affidavits saying they were residents. But good luck proving it. The Democrats certainly wont permit any real checking of names and addresses to be done. Not even if a Democrat complains.
Anyone can check the names and addresses of the voters in the NH primary. Just contact the supervisors of the checklist in your town and ask to see the checklist from the primary. All the voters are listed, including newly registered voters. Its a good way to pass the time on a cold winter day.
