I grew up there and we would have hispanic (d) vs hispanic (r)
very often. My professor at UNM, noted it as well, when I called him on it.

F. Chris Garcia told me, “I must admit, New Mexico is a strange place.” He basically said that, the Spanish who came to New Mexico stayed. They have been here longer than than most, besides the Indians. They have built strong traditions and ties to the state.

I think it is more likely the party can unite behind somebody like Thompson than they can behind Rudy, Mitt, Huckabee, or McCain—all of whom will alienate some portion of the party.

Obama has already proved Hillary can be beaten. In 2004 Republicans came out of the woodwork to beat Kerry and he was not as polarizing as Hillary.

How about Thompson/Romney 08?

that way, Romney is young enough to run in 16.

The only people who can end abortion and protect marriage are SCOTUS members, NOT the President. If it could have been done Reagan would have done it.

Fred will nominate conservative judges. That’s a given. Do you trust Huckabee to do the same? I don’t. I think he’s gullible enough to give us another O’Connor. No thanks.

“It’s outrageous that someone like Paul (someone who has ZERO chance of being nominated) is even there. It’s disgusting.
Fred did really well!!”

I agree. Duncan Hunter belonged there instead of Ron Paul.

Huck is actually really strong on immigration. He just makes it sound nice.
Look at his platform on immigration at his website. You’ll be pleasantly surprised.

He's strong on immigration alright. He is all for it..doesn't matter if they sneak in here.
