Romney gets it.
When that Paultard was going off on how “we supported Saddam” I began ranting to my wife about the Cold War, the nature of the world during that era, and the need for ANY ally in the region to counteract the Soviet sphere of influence. Not to mention the fact we DIDN’T know Saddam’s full nature at the time...
But Romney’s Checkers/3-D Chess comment pretty much nailed it. He could have expounded on it more, but he didn’t.
