No they don't. Romney has been an EXCEPTIONAL dirty trickster.
Even using fake LEO and fake badges.

Romney aide’s bogus badges: Sources detail ‘illegal’ security tactic

" Boston Herald - Friday, July 20, 2007
In an apparent violation of the law, a controverisal aide to ex-Gov. Mitt Romney
created phony law enforcement badges that he and other staffers used on the campaign trail

to strong-arm reporters, avoid paying tolls and trick security guards
into giving them immediate access to campaign venues, sources told the Herald.
They (the aides) knew the badges were fake and probably illegal,”
said a presidential campaign source who asked for anonymity
because the story could damage the individual’s career.
Two additional sources confirmed that the badges - described as bright silver plates with a state seal attached -
were first created and used by Garrity while Romney was still governor."

RINO Romney caught fixing a Luntz focus group
with the help of FOX News (receiver of Romney fund$$$$
and which declares Romney "an enormously attractive guy)".

Politics is a contact sport. The Thompson camp needs to start competing somewhere...anywhere. If he’s not a national candidate that can compete in EVERY state, then why should we nominate him again?? This is all laughable, the Thompson folks have been passing rumors all day that Romney will get out after Michigan, too. This is not dirty tactics folks, it’s politics!

No one here would doubt my closeness to the Romney campaign, and I say that this rumor of Romney’s “machine” involvement is silly.

First of all, we have better things to do, and second, there are no names of anyone who spread this story, and if Jonathan Martin did get it from a Romney guy, Martin and Martin alone spun it as from Thompson people, so why would he tell Novak that it really came from Romney people? At best this is all hearsay and at worst simply noise, to obscure the truth.

Truth is - Romney is the top vote getter and top delegate holder in the primaries held to this point.

As we have seen, polls are unreliable, speculation is unreliable, anecdotes are unreliable. What matters is votes.

One other point to all yall Thompson Truebloods, I have never met anyone but Reagan conservatives in the Romney volunteer muster. So stop with the mis-characterization.
If you want the truth, get out of cyber-space and go to the offices, which are now opening across this land, and look. If I find any evidence of sleeze, or liberals I will report it to yall first, so you can get the news to Novak.

Logic would tell me that McCain would benefit from Fred supporters thinking not only was Fred dropping out but endorsing McCain.

The rumor’s been around for a while.

Thompson’s dropout contract at Intrade rose after Iowa about 40 points and after New Hampshire about 20 points, currently at 90% for January.

Luntz commented on this photo and said he frequently brings back undecided people to his focus groups so he can track who they ultimately decide to support.

Logic tells me it is all just rumors and innuendos... no facts, just a rumor circulating.

I have to agree with you 100%. The last thing pseudo conservatives want is to suddenly be compared to a real conservative and have to answer real questions.

The MSM is also complicit in this redefinition of what a “conservative” is. By closing the gap between pseudo conservatives and DemoRats, it makes the general election messages generic, and then the campaign hinges on likability and attack ads.

People have forgotten what a real conservative is about.
Fred is campaigning on issues like fixing Social Security. The other candidates, in the debate, commended Fred for his “courage” for bringing up the issue. But nobody wanted to touch fixing Social Security with a 10 foot pole.

An issue based candidate makes it harder for the generic promises of the other candidates to get past the voters.
Heaven forbid that any candidate have to campaign with specifics!!

Intrade also said that Obama would win New Hampshire with 90 percent certainty.

{The media harps on everyone about when they are dropping out. Fred getting less than 1% in NH doesn’t help. Even nutbag Ron Paul got 8%.}

Careful there pardner, if you rattle the cages of the inmates here, they could jump the fence and maul you. They have never been fed.

At the end of the day Romney is not a conservative.

THE PROPAGANDA:

THE REAL DEAL:

"Look, I was an Independent during the time of Reagan/Bush.
I am not trying to return to Reagan/Bush."

(Mitt Romney, 1994 Senate Debate, Boston, MA, 10/25/94)

"I wasn't a Ronald Reagan conservative."
(Mitt Romney In Interview with Marc Ambinder,
"Romney Explains Himself," National Journal, 2/9/07)

"I'm very clear I think, to the people across the Commonwealth -
my "R" didn't stand so much for Republican as it does for reform.
"
(Romney Video, accessed 9/19/07)

"I'm not running as the Republican view or a continuation of Republican values.
That's not what brings me to the race.
"
(Romney Video, accessed 9/19/07)
