Leave. Just go.
Mr. Paul, you are NOT a Republican. You may have views that intersect with some aspects of the Republican platform. That does NOT make you a Republican.
The Republican Party is a big tent movement. We don't apply nearly the same strictness when it comes to tests of ideological purity as the Democrats do, but we still have some standards. And you, sir, do not even come close to meeting them.
People who blame America for the acts of war made against it are not Republicans.
People who think that we blew up our own buildings on 9/11...or who hint that we might have...or who attract the support of people with such beliefs...are not Republicans.
People who may be receiving secret funding from George Soros...and who certainly receive energy and succor from radical leftists...are not Republicans.
People who have become the darling of, and the recipient of support from, America's neo-Nazis and white supremacists---and who refuse to openly repudiate that support---are not Republicans.
And people who publish racist, anti-Semitic, and anti-American newsletters...are not Republicans.
Oh, and your protestations of innocence regarding this racist, anti-Semitic, anti-American newsletter to which you attached your name are absurd. As Jonah Goldberg said yesterday on the Michael Medved show, if...

No
Put a sock in it.
“other candidates” didn’t throw Duke out, we the people threw Duke out. As I recall, the other candidates ignored Duke, and rightly so, he wasn’t worth their time.
You reminded me of something, during that campaign, Paul admitting he would try to swing votes to Dukakis.
Did you just just take a bread from your job at MSNBC to post this? He said his candidacy would probably gain more conservative votes and could swing the election to Dukakis. HE DID NOT SAY THAT WAS HIS DIRECT INTENTION.
From 1978 until 1991 with no retraction, rebuttel, correction, or denouncement in any follow up news letters.
Candidates are supposed to ignore the racism and anti-semetism of another candidate?
Okay, so you explain how this country would maintain a workable military deterence were our military be removed from all overseas bases and brought home? Where would all those military personnel and civilian personnel work? The only way to “bring” our military home according to Run Paul’s plan would be to drastically cut the size of our military (you know, the Bill Clinton style cut backs). Only, according to recent articles I’ve read, Run Paul stated that Clinton did not cut our military enough. So, if that’s not the “destruction” of our military, what is it?
So you're saying that he had no control over a newsletter posted under his own name. Suuuure, I believe that.
EXACTLY. But those facts will mean nothing to those who have been swallowed up into the Ron Paul black hole of no-return.
About 20 minutes ago a Ron Paul supporter came to my door handing out pamphlets (Free Toilet Paper!!!). I told him “Sorry, I am not registered as a member of the Crazy B**tard Party....LOL!
You know, I think we should hold them to that. After all, if over a decade of newsletters can be published in his name without his knowledge, then how can we trust anything that is posted about him, even the positive? How do we know he writes all the limited government papers? It could just be a ghost writer. Maybe Paul is nothing but a tool, oblivious to what is happening around him?
So your going to let the Dems hit the GOP over their being soft on racists and anti-semites by not directly telling Paul and his supporters off. Whats to lose, Paul and his few thousand neo-confederates while gaining so much positive attention from the media.
Read what I wrote. I said that Paul's denial is that he has no control. I don't believe that at all.
What I was pointing out was that some poster claimed someone had been fired over this. Paul's denial said nothing of the sort. I was questioning where this information came from. So far I've had no response.
I’m not thrilled about Mitt.He barely makes it over the line in terms of whether I would vote for him. However, Romney does not strike me as a big government conservative, for all his faults and conversions.
Either way the point is a man who calls Reagan “a dramatic failure” cannot be a true member of the party of Reagan.
What positive attention, it seems they are getting what they deserved, they are being called out. Based on how Paul did in the State they focused their ‘live free or die’ campaign, investing millions and more time than many other candidates, I believe the people are letting their voices be heard.
Oh lordy
just looked at this bunch a bit more
looks like Clown Posse and wideawakes types galore...lol
I will admit, I have been reading the excuse the original author was fired, he may not have been, that may have been something they’ve been floating on blogs.
You can accept as a fact that he was oblivious to what was being posted in his newsletter for over a decade??
