you mean voting for a socialist with an R after his name is better than voting for a socialist with a D after their name ?

McCain is no socialist. Not even close with that one. I don't particularly care for him myself, but I know that much.

But let's for a moment suppose that he WAS. And, from that perspective, think about what you wrote above....

There's an old saying. You may have heard it:
"He may be a son-of-a-b*tch, but he's OUR son-of-a-b*tch."

I suggest you think about that a while.

Oh, I’ve thought about that long and hard. I don’t see the difference. If you look at a record of his votes in the Senate, he’s more comfortable on the D side of the aisle.

The ONLY thing I can agree with him on is his fight against earmarks and pork.

He has way too many markers that make him no better than Clinton - except maybe slightly in the ethics department.

I’d rather blame the screw-ups on a D in office, like we have been this year with Dingy Harry and Stretch Nancy, than on the R in office like the Dims and many Rs have done with Bush.

Sheesh - take the amnesty bill. It was the Kennedy-McCain bill - but the press started calling it Bush’d bill because he supported it. And if it had passed - we’d hear for forever that the Rs gave amnesty, like we hear about Reagan’s amnesty in ‘86.

So no, McCain would not give us a single advantage over any Dim nominee.
