In reality the number of people who will sit home on Election Day out of spite or a misguided attempt to practice adherence to their particular conception of conservative orthodoxy is really quite low, no matter what they claim. For those of us who deal in reality and recognize that politics by nature involves compromise, we’ll go with the best option we have, as it is always better than allowing our opponents to make our choices for us.

I vote each and every time the polls are open.
Off all the people on the ballot I pick the one that is the best match to my values - Not the perfect one.
At least we’ll be able to say we tried when the silly stuff starts.

All the BS on the planet does not change the fact that the continuing shift to the left (you know, the tactic that won Congress in '06--for the Democrats) has gone too far.
From an idealogical standpoint, I have not left the Republican Party, it has left me.
