I will do exactly as I please. If this party runs Rooty or Huck, I will be staying home.

The immigration issue will be dead and over. I will no longer care.

None of these people are conservatives, they WILL NOT get my vote.

I hear ya!!!

But maybe staying home will give a wake up call to the Republican Leadership to quit shoving RINOS down our throat (i.e Romney, Gulliani, Huckabee, McCain)

If it a'int Fred or Duncan, it'll be TBD 3rd party for me. Jimmy Carter did more for our party in 4 years than any other non-Reagan Republican. Maybe it's time to take some bad medicine.

I won’t vote for a pro-amnesty liberal democrat who wants to take my guns away, who has no morals or ethics, who wants to raise my taxes to fund universal healthcare, free abortion on demand and other ridiculous welfare programs, even if they do have an (R) after their name.

We joke about RINOs all the time ‘round here.

But I ain’t laughing.

When that type of school girl logic was posted on thread after thread during the 2006 election cycle, I replied a number of times that Republicans are never more more conservative than when in the minority. For the past year, I’ve been proven correct. The hapless Dim Congress has done nothing substantial to date.

This time around, if we end up with a Dim President, I am convinced that the Republicans will block all substantial legislation, and any dangerously liberal appointments during the Dim’s WH adventure.

You heard it here first.

Besides, if I decide to NOT vote for the Republican for President, it will be because I value my vote on principle, not because I want to teach anyone a lesson. And I won’t be bullied about by simple minded fear tactics like yours.

I’m not going to “stay home to teach the GOP a lesson”. I will NOT however vote for McCain or Huckabee because I don’t like their policies and don’t think they are qualified to be president.

I am still feeling sick for voting for the lesser of four evils GOP Governor in TX this last election cycle. I am a conservative before being a Republican, and I am tired of holding my nose when I vote.

RINO’s suck, and I’m not going to vote for one again. In Texas, all they have done is legislate more sin taxes, toll roads, and pass legislation that puts money in the pockets of their political contributors. If the GOP wants to go to hell in a handbasket, they can do it without my $$ or my vote.

“For all Freepers who plan to stay home on election day to teach the GOP a lesson!”

Freepers are smart people. They won’t stay home let a vote be counted for a Dem.

For all Freepers who plan to stay home on election day to teach the GOP a lesson!

what's the diff between Hilary and RINO's.

Nothing except the ease with which gun control, higher taxes, and stabbing our troops in the back all in the name of "bipartisanship" that Rudy, Romney, Elmer Gantry Huckabee and McIdiot will shove down the throat of any conservative Republicans.

When the dems control the White House then they'll have to actually "do something" like the did with congress this time.... Nothing.

Last Clinton we had in office we got welfare reform, NAFTA, congress, state legislatures, senate and governorships went Republican, and by shorting the pharmaceutical stocks I made a mint.

If a Republican is the president we'll get stabbed in the back. At least we've got an enemy in our face to fight.

Before you flame away, take this little tidbit. It's a free country, I CHOOSE NOT to vote for someone that doesn't represent my views. That's why it's called a representative democracy. I'll NEVER vote for another RINO after Gov. Nice Hair Perry.... (former democrat, as usual)

Thompson, Hunter or Hilary..... I guess for the RINO's

I don’t think any FReeper can make that judgement yet as we don’t know who the nominee will be. I won’t stay home, but if the GOP choses to nomininate Huckabee, they won’t get my vote either.

For all GOPers who want to earn votes through threats - don’t gas your own people! That was Saddam’s mistake (well, in hindsight, after we got mad at him, it was one of the mistakes).

I seem to have digressed. Earn my vote, GOP! Do something no one expects you to have the gonards to do - be a magnificant bastard for one bright shining moment and make us proud. Then we will vote for you, yea, in droves.

I’m not trying to teach anyone a lesson its just that I don’t know who I can’t stand more, McCain or Hillary.
Neither gets my vote. Flame away.

Teaching the GOP a lesson has nothing to do with it.

I just need a conservative nominee to vote for. And with Hunter and Thompson sucking hind tit in NH, I don’t see one.

Honestly, Paul is the most Constitutionally faithful candidate with any shred of support. How sad is that?

Interesting overheard chat among five 16 yr. old boys:

Hey dude who do you want to win for President?
They tossed around Clinton..that was a no
Obama...consensus was a he seems like a cool dude.

Huckabee: He wouldn’t be too bad, he’s basically a Democrat anyway.
Scary when 16yr olds think this, I almost choked when I heard it.

The lone republican kid says: What about Fred Thompson?
They all looked at him like he had two heads. But he’s a republican. Lone republican kid: Yeah he’s the man.
They asked what made him the man. He responded with the tale of Fred not raising his hand at the Iowa debate. They were all impressed, and decide to give him a look. (They just love the rebel.)
Keep in mind these are 16yr olds with hardly a clue. But I will bet its what lesser informed voters base their opinions on too. And its pretty bad when kids think that a GOP candidate is basically a Democrat.

None of it matters. Women turned out in droves for Hillary yesterday. If that trend continues she will stomp any and all opponents. I was afraid of this from the start, softened some by Iowa but yesterday was proof that women are emotional people and the crying worked. I am ill beyond belief.

I won’t stay home. I am, however, quite particular who I vote for. I take my responsibility seriously. I will definitely vote, I just won’t necessarily vote for whoever the party machine nominates.

If Rudy, Huckabee or Paul win the nomination, I’m staying home.

If Mitt or McCain wins it, I’ll vote, choking with nausea.

If Fred or Hunter wins it, I’ll vote happily.

Sorry, but that’s the way it’s going to be. The first 3 will do even more damage than Hillary will. Hillary’s liberal policies will at least be fought tooth and nail by the minority of conservatives who will at least be capable of filibusters. If it’s one of the 3 RINOs, -no- one will fight them.

Well why would one stay home when one has far more important votes to cast than what irrelevant asshat will occupy the white house. There are school levies, water/sewer levies, state amendments, councilmen, mayor, sheriff, county commissioners, local ordinances, dog catcher, coroner, engineer, city judges, county judges, state judges, state legislators, state senators, governors, congressmen and senators. Just take a pass on the presidential ballot if the GOP nominates a moral retard.

Substitute a picture of McLoon and I’d be just as sickened.

If its McInsane versus Hillary there’s no lesser evil.
