Fred needs to win in SC because otherwise he won’t get the funds to compete in the big states to come. Unless Fred pulls it out, it will come down to a choice between Huckabee, McCain, and Giuliani; of that unsavory trio, I would take Rudy.

Well, you’re setting the bar too high. It would be a miracle for Fred to win 2nd in SC. A third is more likely, but even then it’s competitive.
