I think we want it close between Hilary and Obama so far in these initial primaries, so they will continue to bloody each other and weaken the Democrat party in other states. We need sincere internecine civil war over there on the Democrat side (much like we have it in the GOP). ;-)

There is less then 10% of the vote in yet. So people need to be patient. Early leads can go to just about any candidate. They are not indicative of who is wining

So far most precincts that are reporting are in the most liberal towns. Keene, Rochester, etc.
Real bell-weathers for us Republicans will be Bedford and Londonderry (right to the west/south of Manchester)

Our best hopes of that happening is to have Obama win big tonight. If that happens, Hillary gets desperate and then the blood will flow!

That “Politico - Detailed Results” is a handsome piece of programming. Very nice.

Saw a Dem strategist on TV last night saying that if Clinton came within 10 percentage points of Obama, that would be considered a “win”...and I’m thinking to myself: “You’ve GOT to be kidding me!”

Mitt will still lead in delegate count no matter what happens tonight. :-)

Before anybody starts drawing conclusions about the early returns, consider that they may be heavily weighted towards absentee ballots. I don’t know exactly how New Hampshire handles its absentee ballots or reports their results. But I know that here in California the early absentee ballots are reported as soon as the polls close.
If New Hampshire does anything similar, then those absentee ballots will not fully reflect the Obama surge coming out of Iowa. And in that case I would expect Obama’s lead to grow as the night wears on.

I know it's early but these numbers are bit of a surprise. Hillary leading Obama, McCain up by 9. The drive by's kept talking about McCain and what happens if the independents go to Obama. But what if we're seeing more independents going to McCain and Hillary doing better amongst the Dems? That might explain these numbers.

Ma'am, Bill already shoveled your walk, and Chelsea did your laundry. My mom is still scrubbing your kitchen floor. Do I really have to fix your impacted molar to get your vote?

Looks like it is based on the more liberal upstate areas...
