I am picturing carloads of aging hippie women in birkenstocks crossing the state border from all directions and voting for hill. LOL Id settle for a picture of a couple of them voting Ann Lewis on FoxNews now - wearing glasses bigger than a Buick - having an orgasm for Hillary on the air.

Again. why would she place a non voting Justice on the Court?

I really dont think pollsters have figured out how to deal with the cell phone issue yet. An increasing percentage of the voting public now has no landlines. Indeed.
...Now somewhere here I have a number for Thomas Dewey...

Perhaps Obama will pull out the win? I've lived in NH for a long time. It's a small state that I've explored extensively, and I like to think I know our towns pretty well. There is a corridor west of Manchester (Bedford, Merrimack, Goffstown, Weare) that ought to be pretty solid territory for Obama. None of these populous towns have reported a single vote yet. That said, it looks to me like the unions have gotten their people out today, and they are all Hillary, all the time. So, it's not looking great - not impossible, though.

Well Obama may yet pull out a slim victory tonight. Worse case scenario for Obama appears to be a slim defeat and to those who might be disappointed that the Wicked Witch of the Ozarks melt away tonight, take heart! New Hampshire is only 1.27% black (as of 2005). And Iowa isn't much different.
What I'm saying here is that Obama has yet to go up against Shrillary in a state with a significant black population and he is already beating her or holding his own.

“I just checked CNN 2 minutes ago and it was 37-35 for Hillary, now it’s back to 40-36. What’s up with that?”
This isn’t the end results, but a running vote tally of precincts as they come in.

If Hillary is eventually elected, it simply means we actually have 4 more years of Bill. Dreadful.

I feel like I’m in a time warp. Ann Lewis, Terry McAulliff, Lanny Davis, James Carville....all hanging out on my TV screen.
I feel like Bob Newhart when he woke up with Suzanne Pleschette and realized the last 6 years had been a dream.

Yes she does!!
I get so sick of listening to all of these “experts”. They don’t have a clue what is going to happen next. Same for the pollsters.
To: andy58-in-nh
You may be right. I’ll pass this along: 50% of Concord has now reported... Obama up there by only 1%... much less than expected. I think Hillary is going to win this thing. There was a huge turnout among Independents taking Democrat ballots, which can only mean that many voted for The Beast, in which case.... yikes. I'm not unhappy, though. Great opportunity for Clinton and Obama to turn nasty -- as Huckabee and McCain continue to run respectable (even complementary) campaigns.

I do not care who wins among the democrats, in fact Hillary Clinton is not going to be elected President because she is the meanest and most unlikable person to run for President in decades. I hear ya, but I'm sayin' its better if she is weakened and really has to blow a lot of cash on the primaries by a vicious bruising contest. Especially because we do not look like we're going to get a very good Repub candidate so far.

Good thing I thought of that, thanks.
So, NH is not a good indicator of red vs. blue.
It’s purple.
Here is the funniest thing. Bill Richardson was just speaking to his supporters and the subtitle on C-Span said under his name ‘D-Mexico’..... I kid you not...:)!!

Damn, all this angst over McCain and the New Hampshire primary...
Neither one of which are of any consequence in the grand scheme of things...

If I remember correctly, Michael Barone was explaining how they use EXIT polls (not the actual votes), and he said one of the first things they do is look for anomalies. For example, one of the towns exit polls indicated that one candidate was getting 87% of the vote, so they figured out that it probably wasn't reliable info, so they don't use it.
Put the tin foil hats away, I don't think Michael Barone ever said one person actually got that amount of votes.
