At least he is turning in the right direction. However, his previous actions make me suspicious.

Which is the same thing I can say about Romney.

The birthright deal can probably be removed by passing a federal law. A close reading of the Constitution on citizenship can be read to say one or both parents of the child born here should be a US Citizen or legal permanent resident. Of course, any passed law has to get by the Supremes and the make up of the court will be affected by who is president after 2008. Several on the court are getting on in years and may retire or die in the foreseeable future.

I’m surprised and totally disappointed this hasn’t been suggested years ago. That section of the Constitution is antiquated and serves no valid purpose. In fact, as we see now, it is a sword against us.

We have seen the enemy and it is us.

More of a 'feel good' meaningless gesture because he, as President would be near powerless to do much about it. He could try and pressure Congress IF he has much sway with members of his own party but I rather suspect that the U.S. (corporate-owned-and-run) Senate would be even more hostile to Huckaboo than they have been to the overwhelming fed-up conservative populace on the subject of their current unlimited pool of cheap nannys and yard keepers.

His latest on this subject could be easily summed up as being: WAY TOO LITTLE and soon to be WAY TOO LATE. It's going take a lot more than this and being a left-leaning RINO Republican preacher with liberal tendicies to get me to give him a second look.
