Rush has said that it’s not his job to endorse a particular candidate, but it sounds like he has, at least on an implicit level.
In other words he is not "pimping" Jesus to get votes. Are you suggesting that not going to church means you are no longer a Christan? Going to church is important, however it does not single-handedly define our faith. Some people need communion more than others.
