Recently, Mike Huckabee and John McCain have been attacked as RINOs Governor Schwarzenegger of California regularly draws that denunciation. Actually, we've known they were RINOs for a LONG, LONG time.

“When alleged RINO Jim Jeffords of Vermont left the GOP”
The use of the term “alleged” qualifies this for “Stupidest Comment of the Year Award”... and it’s only Jan. 7th!

Oh sure; I’ll support anyone who calls himself a Republican.

I’m no RINO fan... but if you give the article a fair read, he has a good point. We attack our liberal-leaning Republicans. Meanwhile, the Democrats won the majority with conservative-leaning Democrats. End result is we lost and they won.

This Medved character wants us to stop calling RINOs what they are, RINOs. Yet he has no problem calling patriots like me who want the borders secured and want no amnesty for illegals, racists. Hey Medved, SHUT UP!

If Medved hates the term, that means I’m going to keep using it.

Bravo Medved. Once again you have it spot-on.

>>>Those who make war on RINOs, however, ought to confront an obvious question: would you really prefer that such people drop the Republican designation?
I use RINO in describing the Log Cabin Republican wing of the party. And yes, I would like them to drop out.

Misuse of the term has led to it having no effective meaning beyond that the GOP fringe don't like nobody very much. Those guys cried wolf too much.
Well, I exaggerated. Use of the term "RINO" does have some meaning. It means, "Ignore the yo-yo who just used the term RINO."

I guess Medved has never heard of Wildlife Management.
If we let the population of RINOS exceed the habitat, they will all die, and kill of the forage as well as other animals dependant upon the ecosystem as well.
If we let the RINOS overbreed, we are all in danger!

Certainly, Jeffords and Chaffee earned their RINO designations. Calling people like McCain RINOs is over the top, however.

Good Lord! its one thing to have
“purported moderates" in our own party,”
But its an entirely different thing to have someone who is antithetical to your aims and ideals, or even openly hostile to them.
And that animal is called a RINO, and yes. Get out!
We are thinning the herd by not voting for you. - and no democrat will vote for you either, so wake up!

"When alleged RINO Jim Jeffords of Vermont left the GOP and joined the Democrats, it gave them control of the US Senate. " Sort of proves the validity of the term RINO, now doesn't it!
