Republican Presidential Candidate Debate #14 Milford, New Hampshire 01/06/08 - Official Discussion Thread
Fox News Channel; Roundtable format
Candidates the gatekeepers are allowing to participating:
Why did so many ‘anti- immigration’ stalwarts lose in the west then? The names escape me, it’s late.
Your points are valid and so are mine. We lost for a whole plethora of reasons. We forgot to mention how President Bush let us down every time we cried like a bunch of ‘die hard conservative’ babies too...lol.
Have we been attacked again since 911? NO
Every prediction was that we would be long before now.
Have we put a bunch of liberal judges on the bench?..No..our trust in Bush gave us two of the most conservative judges this country has ever known since Scalia and Thomas.
You forget...we heard all of this rambling before..during the Bush McCain wars. So far.. McCain has let this country down..not Bush.
You must not have heard yet that the Bush tax cuts have lowered the deficit at the fastest pace in HISTORY!!
or that the stock market is at an all time high.
Still..even after the ‘real estate plunge’.
The immigration wars are hurting our party more than anything else imho. You just proved it by bringing it up.
Why do you think that the LSM never asked one question about illigal immigration to the dems the other night on ABC debates?
Answer..they know how it can divide a party and they only want it to divide ours.
"Next time" we go to NH during the primary, I'd like to spend 4-5 days there, and more carefully plot out events we'd like to attend, complete with good maps and directions to the venues. We did OK for our first time, though. Overall, it was fun, although I came away from NH saddened at how BLUE the state has become. There used to be a lot of solid red areas all over the northeast. So many of them are now turning purple, and many have gone deep blue. It's really depressing...
You do know that was torture.
I’ll take the 40 lashes.
No I’m making smart decision
A bunch of liberal Republicans saying Fred was the weakest is not impressive. It is expected. I think we feel pretty secure that the Mitt and McCain and Rudy will receive similar critiques in the south. Ted Kennedy endorsing your health care plan is not impressive either.
Mitt did well tonight defending himself and you have to give him kudos for going after the GUBERnator and McCain like he did.
I think he has a good shot at unseating McCain *if* that focus group wasn’t stacked.
Florida was a joke with a “Republican” announcing after the debate she liked Edwards! LMAO...
This guy is not vetting these people very closely...so who knows...
Yeah, and they always said a Republican could NEVER win in a large turnout too....:/
Conventional wisdom doesn’t hold water anymore as Fred found out in Iowa.
LOL...
Loved the nuke pic BTW!!!
Did you really expect something different from damn Yankees! LOL
All that focus group proved to me was that Fred’s campaign was SPOT ON for skipping New Hampster.
We do that because we are conservatives. You should try it sometime...:)
New England needs to fall in the ocean right after Kalifornia
Think about it...
No more Biden, Dodd, Schumer, Kennedy, Kerry, Dean, Frank, etc etc etc
But we *knew* Fred wouldn’t do well...;) Why do you think he’s skipping the state?
He’s only there for the debate.
I honestly think itâs going to be a Hillary/Obama Hussein ticket.I think a Rudy/Hunter or Rudy/Thompson can beat them.Romney’s already perceived as a flip flopper.Rudy is tough on terror,he can get his message across to the public. He’s not afraid to fight back against the Democrats.I could care less about his personal life, who hasn’t made mistakes. He has promised to select conservative judges, why not believe him, others have changed their mind on issues. He is the only candidate who actually lead during 911.I want a leader and winner.
You’re smoking crack. “Average” voters can’t name the VP let alone discuss any issues....
Did you miss Luntz saying how “sophicated” these people are...
That because they all worked on the Romney campaign. I wonder how many made the drive from Mass.?
Hildabeast was bussing them in...;)
LOL....feels good to not watch Fox.
Wonder what Rupert thinks of his Hildabeast investment?
While you are adding up reasons we lost in 2006, don’t forget Mark Foley and his congressional page. Immorality (under age pages)hurt more than illesgal aliens and outsourcing of jobs.
I moved Guliani above Romney too...even though I thought Romney won tonight.
Guiliani has been more honest than either Romney or the GUBERnator about who they are....
That tells me I can trust Rudy more than McCain, more than Huckabilly, and more than Mitt. Mitt lost me when he adopted Obama’s campaign strategy. He’s a follower. Not the leader he claims.
I have nothing to make me think otherwise that Mitt will *not* have another of his famous moments of consciousness should the wrong bill come across his desk.
Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that (Rudy)..
Go Fred.
No they’re not, they’re “average”. LOL
You’re comment reinforces the idea the group was stacked...
