It’s not a matter of personality. It’s a matter of issues. He was simply the most conservative one on that stage.

Yes, but I’m a conservative so my impressions are way different than NH voters.

Typical media, and the allegedly "conservative" Fox News is a part of the kingmakers.

The only chance McCain has is with Independents who I believe can crossover to vote in the primary.

They can cross over but I believe they just might be voting for Obama this time around although McShame was certainly playing to them.

Interested to hear what the panel has to say next.

Every day Hillary opens her pie hole she is seen as the broom bitch she always was

On our side, Huck is toast, Rudy is only a 20% er nationally and Mc Lettuce is a flat out idiot on a stick

Oh sweet Jesus these people are dumb! Were they watching???? OMG, our country is full of idiots.

Fred HAS to work on his speech patterns. NOW! No more verbal pauses and slow wind-ups!

If he's getting in the race for the sake of his children, then he has to present himself better for the sake of his children.

Good ideas only go so far as you can communicate them - this is the primary lesson of the GWB administration. We can't afford a poor communicator ever again. Fred has some obstacles to overcome, if he makes a point of working on them.

I understand though, you’re in denial from the shock because of the impact of blow......

Mitt got nuked on that one. It’s disingeuous to play it down.

Reminder: Only the political junkies are watching. And this was all about New Hampshire, with a vague undercurrent from attempts to erase Huckabee votes in South Carolina but almost entirely the debate was about New Hampshire.

Talk about change is a focus group tested thing to attract Independent voters, but it also focuses attention on Obama who is widely advertised as making change a theme, so that has a double value for Romney if he can send Independents back to Obama and away from McCain. Romney leads among NH GOP voters. It is the addition of independents that lifts McCain’s numbers.

Is it just me or is this focus group dumber than a bag of hammers?

I can't decide between bag of hammers or a box of rocks.

No, they handicapped it as to who was likely to win the nomination. They just never gave Fred a chance.

Conservatism that won’t be worth a damn when he loses 65-35 to Obama.
