Fred Thompson's low opinion of the media is matched by only one person: Bobby Knight.

Love it.

Fred wasn’t in the mood for any more B.S. from Big Media repeating campaign rumors.

Fred to MSM: “I Owe You Nothing....except a lifetime of residuals from Law & Order.”

The lying MSM maggot infested mediots run lies about Thompson and then want to grill him about their lies.

Thompson is to smart to play their end game and says $crew you.

He did this in one of the Iowa debates when the liberal female moderator tried to force a quick answer on a contrived question. He refused to sink to her level.

Steady Freddy tells the truth, panders to no one and is obviously not afraid of the media - they have tried to propel Rudy to the front, and did for a while, now it's McCain again; McCain gives the MSM all the time they want pandering his way to the top....snide little Banty Rooster.

Call or e-mail FOX and the rest of the media to get Fred on their radar, he is the only one who has nothing to hide; he is an adult. I am sick and tired of the over the hill rock star Senator Clinton and her disgraced husband - wonder how many mid-night calls were made to get that turn out for her today....someone will speak out and it will back fire. The Democratic party needs to cleanse themselves of the clinton cancer.

That’s the kind of attitude we need in facing down the crazy little midget in Iran and the snotty socialists from all over Western Europe.

This is a novel spin on the old “Washington Outsider” tactic. The one where the candidate says, “I’m not one of the Washington elite, so elect me to be one of the Washington elite.” In Fred’s version, he says, “I hate the media, even though I have made a pretty darned good living off of them and now need them in my campaign.”

Cute stuff.

HEAR HEAR

And we the people owe the MSM nothing. They owe us. They owe us unbiased news reporting. And they will never deliver.

Down with the drive by media!

The Politico is largely to blame for not checking with the Thompson campaign before making the false statements about Fred last week. To the Politico staff, I advise: you need to rethink your war against honesty.

Allowing the Politico to have credibility in politics is like making OJ Simpson a marriage counselor.

The "I owe you nothing" quote was fine.

I wish he'd been more explicit, though. Something along the lines of...

I'm not going to answer who it was. That's the very question the media should have asked, right after they confirmed it was false by asking my campaign! That was the real story. I'm certainly not going to do your job for you after the fact.

... he refused to engage speculation about the source of anti-Thompson rumors and told Lester Holt "I owe you nothing."

Is Lester Holt the talking head who looks like he has a bad case of lockjaw?

Tread lightly, Fred!

Nixon showed contempt for the MSM and made fools of them with the “Checkers” speech. It took the b*stards many years, but they got him in the end.

Did anyone hear the exchange between Bill O’reilly and Jerry Thompson? It was very terse and defensive.

I am a strong Thompson supporter, but (in the spirit of constructive criticism,) he has to learn to use humor to let things roll off his back. He also handed attention back to Romney in the debate when he asked him about health care. Fred needs to learn to keep that attention and be more competitively assertive. If you look at the air exposure time in the debate, his was most likely near the bottom.

In response to the President’s question, he was given a golden opportunity to enumerate the enduring conservative principles that will guide his decision making. He chose to wax philosophically on the Constitution and completely waste the opportunity he was given to clearly delineate himself from the rest of the pack. He is way too analytical. He needs to think and speak in outline form.

The American public is used to contestants in reality shows on the tv who are “hungry” competitors. If they aren’t, they are sent packing for not really wanting it enough. Fred made a huge mistake on that one and his perceived lack of hunger is not resonating with the American public. He also has a problem with women. Statistics show that Huckabee resonated highly with women in the Iowa caucus. Their issues would most likely be family related. Fred is at a disadvantage as he is strong state’s rights and doesn’t believe in federal child care, health care, education and social programs. That puts him at a disadvantage. He needs to explain that he supports local community control of these issues.
