Fred Thompson has been understandably frustrated with the media's obsession with "process" and horserace stories, particularly when media outlets fanned false rumors that he was ready to get out of the race. So Team Thompson is understandably happy with this exchange from NBC's Today Show, in which he refused to engage speculation about the source of anti-Thompson rumors and told Lester Holt "I owe you nothing."
Oh, I’m a big defender of Nixon, but his mistake was the cover up.
But I guess it’s a little late to debate that... or is it ever too late.
It is easy to criticize predictions. Put your honor where your mouth is.
I’m not saying I’ve got a crystal ball. We’ve got Michegan, South Carolina, and Florida and a few other states before I vote on super tuesday. But if Fred hasn’t won a single state by Feb. 5th, what point is there in throwing away my vote on him?
I believe his reference to the Constitution was the third such reference among the candidates and did nothing to differentiate himself from Ron Paul or McCain.
I to am a Nixon defender. IMHO, he did nothing that other Presidents have done. Your term “cover up” is what is still undefined. Perhaps President Thompson might inspire a further study of Watergate. A study done by objective historians, not Democrap MSM types (ie: Woodword and Bernstein).
Very true.
The Politico adds lies to more lies.
That was a good interview on both parts.
“I looked for the story on her site and couldnt find it. Got a link?”

You will see by the comments not too many happy about it.
I was very disappointed to see it.
Honest media? Where?
There are a few left, but not many, that’s for sure.
There’s a whole bunch of them out there. It isn’t possible to sort them from a distance, let alone take anonymous blogger’s opinions on it seriously.
