Did you see Ed Rollins on FoxNews last night after the caucus win?

Maybe. But then again, maybe Dickie the toe sucker is still working for the Clintons by promoting the most beatable opponent possible.

Huckabee was telling the truth; even though, I like Romney and I would vote for him.

The Fair Tax would be like another Prohibition--it would make all of us into criminals as we found ways to get around paying sales tax. An underground economy would spawn a new generation of organized criminal activity. No way it would work, and it would become more hated than the current system.

A flat 17 percent tax rate, that will work just fine, and the Feds will rake in the dough. It's what RR wanted, by the way, too.

"Perhaps the GOP is tired of pretending to be the party of ANY conservatives. Maybe the GOP is tired of pretending it is not just a clone of the Democrats. Perhaps the goal is not electing a Republican, but the GOP wants a liberal, regardless of which party gets the win. "

It sounds like what you're saying here in a nutshell, is that "The Republican Party" is lost. If you're not saying it, I will. I agree almost word for word with the rest of your post. I have said before, one of our big problems is our slate of MSM selected candidates, with two or three exceptions.

Another big problem is that we really don't have any leaders now. GWB has morphed so far from what he was the week after 9/11 that he is unrecognizable. Even John Bolton says this in regards North Korea. It is pitifully obvious that he has abdicated all responsibility on the border. He is in fact, working against the will of about 85% of the US in that regard.

Another hugh problem is our leaderless State Dept, which seems bound and determined to sabotage every effort that our military attempts, with no direction or repercussions whatsoever from the Executive Branch.

All in all, I've been thinking for a while that it may be time for a new, conservative party. The Republican Party is possibly irreparably broken.

Wait until the IRS (it will never die) knocks on your door to audit your purchases, looking for receipts for your household good to make sure the tax was paid.

I am sad to say that it is becoming hard to deny. There are many right-of-center columnists like David Frum and David Brooks who are constantly berating Republicans that they need to get beyond Reagan/Goldwater/Buckley conservatism to win elections. But guess what: I *am* a Reagan/Goldwater/Buckley small-government, anti-regulation, low-tax conservative (and I'm not a libertarian). If the GOP thinks it has to become just the right-wing of the liberal establishment and start offering a lot of government goodies and regulations to keep the leeches happy, then they can do so without my support.

Newt selfishly wants the Republican candidate to lose this year so that he can run himself in 2012. That’s why he promotes Huckabee, a sure loser.

” informed that Dick Morris and Newt Gingrich are helping Huckabee behind the scenes. “

Dick took out his ol’ Clinton kneepads some months ago for Huckabee.

Why would Gingrich stoop to helping this guy? Newt is a smart man. Nobody else cared for Newt’s latest thing?

Why would Gingrich stoop to helping this guy?

The Unholy Alliance?

My guess is they are all working for a Rudy/Huck ticket.

Remember this? Being Dick: Morris Writes Hit Piece on Mitt, Plays Mormons Card...

Does Not Disclose Close Ties to Huckabee...

All the while, Huck praises Morris, acknowledges they talk

Hmmm....
Giuliani/Huckabee "Civil Union" Solemnized by Dick Morris?

Not surprising at all. Gingrich and Morris are both dumpy doughy guys, Huck’s major consistency.

I would think that Newt would be for Fred.

There's no money in being for Fred. Just caring about the country.

Morris hates Hillary.

He's not alone.

I read where Hillary didn't even acknowledge Bill or Chelsey in her thank you speech in Iowa. She then went on to blast Iowans as being too stupid to vote for her.

She's not very bright.
