"The logic that convinces us that evolution is a fact is the same logic we use to say ... we have serious energy policy issues because of global warming," Ha ha!

Well, I happen to agree that Huckabee is a nut job. But our kids are lagging in the sciences NOT because not enough Darwinism is taught in the schools, but because the NEA has dumbed them down.

“The logic that convinces us that evolution is a fact is the same logic we use to say smoking is hazardous to your health or we have serious energy policy issues because of global warming,” University of Michigan professor Gilbert Omenn told reporters at the launch of a book on evolution by the National Academy of Sciences (NAS).
Ya know Gilbert maybe you got something there and we need to reevaluate some of those policies.
Thanks dork.

Creationists aren’t doing any damage. The real anti-science nut jobs are the (mostly) leftist who actively try to stop the advance of genetically modified food. They are doing real measurable damage to people. No negative big media stories about them though.

"The logic that convinces us that evolution is a fact is the same logic we use to say smoking is hazardous to your health or we have serious energy policy issues because of global warming," University of Michigan professor Gilbert Omenn told reporters at the launch of a book on evolution by the National Academy of Sciences (NAS). "I would worry that a president who didn't believe in the evolution arguments wouldn't believe in those other arguments either. This is a way of leading our country to ruin," added Omenn, who was part of a panel of experts at the launch of "Science, Evolution and Creationism."
Boy, I could really throw this guy for a loop. I believe in evolution, I believe man is not responsible for global warming (to any major degree anyway) and I also think smoking is hazardous to your health.

Huckabee's Smoking Ban
"..Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee wants a national smoking ban. He says it is a workplace safety issue and compares subjecting restaurant workers to cigarette smoke is like exposing them to radon. He asks us not to think of it as a consumer issue..."
AND Global Warming is debateable.
These scientists have their own articles of faith and their own tendencies to be sloppy with the facts.

The same logic used for warning that smoking is hazardous to health and global warming is real...hmmm.
Have they been lying about the smoking hazard to health, too?

Huckleberry interviewed by Sean Hannity:
Huckleberry: I wish I hadn’t written the letter.
Huckleberry: That’s one letter I wish I hadn’t written.
Huckleberry: That’s one sentence I should have never said.
Huckleberry: Romney..... and, Mitt Romney ....
Huckleberry: Sean I look forward to your support in November!

Oh no, doomed! Just as we were “doomed” if:
1. Reagan was elected
2. Reagan cut taxes during a time of deficit
3. Reagan accelerated the arms race
4. George W. Bush was elected
5. George W. Bush was re-elected
etc etc
blah blah blah

Listening to liberals is hazadous to one's health.

I bet that the first 20 presidents of the United States believed that G*D created. It is hard to believe that a real scientist would peddle such a ridiculous message of doom.

Well, Professor, you believe in anthropogenic global warming, which is your anti-science religion.
The main difference between you and Huck is that he's not proposing to throw the world economy into a depression for the sake of his faith.

US 'doomed' if creationist president elected: - do they mean like the first 43 Presidents?

"The logic that convinces us that evolution is a fact is the same logic we use to say smoking is hazardous to your health or we have serious energy policy issues because of global warming," University of Michigan professor Gilbert Omenn If this guy is stupid enough to fall for Global Warming then he has no business arguing about logic.
