No, one must also be born a citizen, and 35 years old to be qualified to RUN. I don’t believe the Constitution also says “must be of the majority religion”; indeed it expressly says ‘there shall be no religious test’. But I guess that doesn’t matter to holier than thou religious bigots with hatred in their heart to any religion that differs from there own; and think that someones religious identity is more important than their political ideology. The office is President of the United States, not Head Pastor of Elsie-land.
Do you believe that all Mormons are de-facto unqualified for the Presidency? Then you do not accept them as full citizens of this Republic, which is too bad, because they are excellent citizens who believe some rather preposterous things; much like many other FReepers.

When a man makes solemn, sacred vows in a religious setting, I would sure hope that he KEEPS them, no matter WHAT the political world does!
