“We’ve both been here more or less 6 years, and I’m betting neither of us has seen the flame wars brewing here like during this primary season.”

There used to be War On Drugs threads that got very nasty, many people banned, many people leaving with Grand Opus posts. While the primaries have been hot, they are not the worst.

And as for the GOP being divided, I don’t think it’s all that bad. The message of the press is that they are divided, discouraged, and so forth, but I think that’s just to help their masters in the DNC.

I guess I didn't get so involved in WOD threads. I'd probably catch my share of flames if I did. I'm in the middle on most issues on drugs. Makes for an easy target from both sides...I just believe moderation is necessary from both sides in order to avoid trampling certain liberties and yet avoid chaos.

And as for the GOP being divided, I don’t think it’s all that bad.

I think it's necessary to have a reconcillition with the basic philosophies that define us as either conservatives or republicans, the former being more important. The screeching involved must resemble similar forums held in Congress by the likes of Adams, Jefferson and Franklin. Adams in particular as I've read about it...LOL!

The message of the press is that they are divided, discouraged, and so forth, but I think that’s just to help their masters in the DNC.

Uhng...if there's a consistent villain in this story...need I say more?

TGIF! Cheers and have a great weekend!
