I thought the time was right to start up a live thread for results and comments about tonight, so here we are!
The MSM will go into Iowa denial overdrive.
Huckabust will be reality.
Maybe “The People’s Ship of....” PSO...almost POS!
What do you call a ship for American communist pirates (<—hippies?)?
The USS Arrrrrr
The Huckester is the Democrats favorite candidate.
Any Democrat will beat him in a run away election.
There will be such a drop out from the military as no one with any self respect could respect this hick oaf as a commander in chief
Try this:
1. Romney (26%)
2. Huckabee (21%)
3. Thompson (19%)
4. McCain (14%)
5. Giuliani (10%)
6. Paul (7%)
7. Keyes (1%)
8. Hunter (1%)
Dims
1. Obama (32%)
2. Clinton (30%)
3. Edwards (28%)
4. Richardson (4%)
5. Dodd / Kucinich / Biden get the rest
Hunter is forecast to have no more than one-half of one percent.
Romney
Huckabee
McCain
Edwards
Obama
Clinton
So we shall see.
You will have 3,000 at your location? Wow.
I last caucused in 1996 in rural Iowa and there were probably 25 there.
I am in the Des Moines metro area now and expect maybe 200 - 300 at our location; maybe I am underestimating.
Go Fred....
...magritte (new RIAA Spokesman)<<
But... it's not a pipe copy!!!! LOL
Given Rush’s comments on the his show today where is AGAIN virtually endorsed thompson and reamed huckabee a “new one” is there ANY iowa people able to post here?
On the ground reports would be nice.
I agree on your first two placers, but believe Thompson will come in 4th.
I think we can all agree that Thompson has the most potential for a huge bump or a huge slump...all the other candidates are locked into a smaller frame...
A question which I know has probably been discussed before but I missed.....Why does every conservative I know love Thompson but he isn’t doing as well in the polls as I hoped?
Is it the media coverage? Have people not heard him speak yet? Every republican I run into and ask this question-—Who do you like? They ALL say Thompson.
Anyone voting for L Ron Paul and think he is tough on the border, think again
In Congress, Ron Paul has been a major roadblock to securing are borders from Illegal Immigrants.
2005: Ron Paul voted against the Duncan Hunter (R-CA) Amendment to H.R. 4437 to increase border controls
Rep. Paul voted against the Hunter Amendment to H.R. 4437. The Hunter Amendment would shore up security by building fences and other physical infrastructure to keep out illegal aliens. The Hunter Amendment passed by a vote of 260-159.
2005: Ron Paul voted against H.R. 418 to increase border controls
Rep. Paul voted against H.R. 418 to strengthen border control by requiring completion of the last 3.5 miles of the San Diego border fence. As well, H.R. 418 would broaden the terrorism-related grounds for inadmissibility and deportability of aliens. H.R. 418 passed by a vote of 261-161.
2004: Ron Paul voted against the Virgil Goode (R-VA) Amendment to H.R. 4200 authorize the U.S. military on the border
Rep. Paul voted against authorizing the Secretary of Defense to assign members of the military, under certain conditions, to assist in the performance of border control functions. The Goode Amendment passed the House by a vote of 231-191.

Rep. Paul voted against authorizing the Attorney General and the Secretary of the Treasury to request that members of the Armed Forces assist the INS with border control efforts. The Traficant Amendment passed by a vote of 242-173.
Praying for a Huckabee victory tonight.
Go HUCK !!
If you don’t mind me asking, why?
Huckabee 30
Romney 20 (50)
Fred 19 (69)
McCain 14 (83)
Paul 12 (95)
Rudy 3 (98)
Hunter 1 (99)
Others 1
The problem I have with the order you predict is that Iowa just doesn’t seem like it’d be Ron Paul’s kind of state. But we shall see. I think his big showings will be in Michigan and New Hampshire.
There. That's better.
