I've been totally baffled by the seeming undercurrent of anti-Fred sentiment of FOX News. They've seemed like they are more fair and even-handed to

This is true. They are a small state, no large cities, they don’t have the major problems with illegals as my city and they don’t have 250,000+ military as my city and county so they are in an isolated situation.
My county has the same population as their state.

Fred said he needed to come in 2nd. That indicates he doesn’t have the $$$ to carry on without doing good in IA and NH. Fred is tied with McCain for 3rd in SC. Mitt has the $$$ to go thru SC and beyond. Fred needs donation drives just to run commercials.
