Three Oil Trucks Stolen Recovered

Three oil trucks were reported stolen on Dec. 2 and 3 in Center Moriches, Hauppauge and Bohemia.

4th Precinct officers found an abandoned oil truck that was allegedly stolen from All Island Fuel in Center Moriches on Dec. 2. Police recovered the vehicle before it was reported stolen by an employee of All Island Fuel but not before 1,500 gallons were taken from the truck. The vehicle was impounded and returned to the company.

The owner of Hirsch Fuels in Hauppauge called Suffolk police that morning, reporting that his 1999 International Oil tanker truck containing 2,131 gallons of home heating oil had been stolen. At 6:15 p.m. that day Seventh Patrol officers found the truck in Mastic Beach on Neighborhood Road.

Theft probe leads to N. VA storage site

An investigative trail littered with gold-colored AK-47s, documents labeled "CLASSIFIED" and pistols purported to have been given as gifts to Saddam Hussein led federal investigators here: a Manassas storage center.

Atlantic Self Storage, nestled between Interstate 66 and Route 234, sits across from a Super 8 Motel and is little more than rows of rust-colored garage doors leading to individual units. But according to court documents filed recently in Prince William County, one of the storage units may hold clues for a federal investigation spanning the country.

An AK-47 was found at the scene. Police were comparing it with bullets taken from Walker's body to see if they matched.

From the Washington post article you linked to MamaDearest in post no. 426:

Article snippet: “Maziarz had worked in an intelligence center in Fallujah, Iraq, from February to May 2006, according to the documents. He was also assigned to a program administered by the National Security Agency and had access to information classified as the “ ‘Top Secret’ level and higher,” the papers said.”
