I’ve gotta ask. Ron Paul wants to eliminate nearly every fenderal agency because they arent enumerated in the constitution (FBI, DHS, DoE, etc). Okay, a principled libertarian viewpoint. But then there’s this. So where in the constitution does he find the authority to subsidize local police forces?

LOL - that sounds like a group we have out here, but I think true.

As my son explained it to me, only a sheriff’s department and federal marshalls are authorized by the constitution. I’d have to look it up to see.

Actually I doubt that it is the Agencies that have him upset, it is more likely that they can impose fines, fees and penalties on you and I without any review by Congress or any other elected persons.

Good question, if you consider a tax break a subsidization. Paul claims he wants to do away with the federal income tax altogether. If that were to happen, I presume that would be the end of all income tax breaks.
