I am no Mitt fan, but one thing is for sure, if Huck were asked, his first reaction would be, “What’s Pakistan?”

they keep showing a video on skynews of her descending stairs and getting into a car and then shutting the door and it starting to drive off. Unless she got out again she was in the car.

Yeah it was the first time I have ever seen Mitt in that kind of pressure situation, and I thought he looked shaky. He said something about Musharraf made a mistake by declaring martial law. The mere fact that he was taking reporters questions on this chaotic situation was unusual, and inappropriate, IMO.

Would be nice to have a GOP president, who’s good in front of reporters, and strong on the issues as well.

Good show Mitt.

I just told my brother the same thing. I saw Bhutto as a militarily weak leader who would have enjoyed mere days of leadership before AQ took her out.

What makes people believe that a Muslim country with a high extremist presence would tolerate a woman as their leader?

Then I defer to you, but the rest (assume a really low profile, avoid public gatherings, get a SW radio and perhaps dress as a local, and above all else, lay in a stock of water and food) still apply. Also, she should not tell any locals she doesn’t already know that she’s an American. If they ask, she’s Canadian.

This is bad. If al-Qaeda did it, maybe this will provide Mushy the cover he needs to finally get off his ass and get al-Qaeda and the Talibunnies out of his country once and for all. But if somebody in Mushy’s government did it? It’s go time, and that’s not good AT ALL.

This is my comment regarding Ms. Bhutto...I knew without doubt this day was coming, it was just a question of when, where and how. She insisted on appearing in street marches and rallies and al-qaeda/taliban had sworn to kill her. There was no way she was destined to live.

I heard it on the radio on Bill Bennett’s program, and my first thought was, she committed “suicide (or martyred herself if you prefer) by terrorist”. Like “suicide by cop” that we hear about a lot. Only done in the name of her cause, not just to escape this life.

My question is: to what end? Will her insistence on placing herself where she was guaranteed to be killed ultimately help, or harm, her cause...which she said was democracy for Pakistan??

Watch out for those statements.. you will be nailed here.

But I agree, Clinton’s will spin and use this for her highness... but I think it could backfire!!!

Al Qaeda just took a load off Mushie shoulder.

Karachi, 27 Dec. (AKI) - (by Syed Saleem Shahzad) - A spokesperson for the al-Qaeda terrorist network has claimed responsibility for the death on Thursday of former Pakistani prime minister Benazir Bhutto.

“We terminated the most precious American asset which vowed to defeat [the] mujahadeen,” Al-Qaeda’s commander and main spokesperson Mustafa Abu Al-Yazid told Adnkronos International (AKI) in a phone call from an unknown location, speaking in faltering English. Al-Yazid is the main al-Qaeda commander in Afghanistan.

There is a report she arrived at the hospital in a different vehicle than the one she is seen leaving the rally in.

Maybe after leaving the rally a decision was made that the white SUV did not provide enough protection. In transferring to a more armored vehicle the gunman struck.

Just speculation

My guess is that Hillary will exploit this tragedy for her own ends

Her qualifications RE Bhutto can be encapsulated in an old photo showing Bill obviously looking down Bhutto's cleavage. I don't have my fingers on that photo, but believe it was noted here at the time.

The U.S.A. could easily slip into an “accidental empire” stretching from Pakistan to Syria, with Magog looking on in jealousy.

Not much of an empire with only money going out and none coming in, like in Iraq.
