Sweden: Geologist Dr. Wibjorn Karlen "Newspapers should think about the damage they are doing to many persons, particularly young kids, by spreading the exaggerated views of a human impact on climate. Imagine newspapers thinking. Wow.

I didn’t type anything - I just had to delete all the extra line spaces which were appearing (in the code). I use Firefox too.

The global warmists will go down in history as idiots and fools like the so-called scientists who warned in 1910 that Halleys Comet would engulf the Earth in cyanide gas. Unfortnately, it takes History at least a third of a century or so to expose fools.
Even then, the liberal news media will simply refuse to even mention the old foolishness to the new generation and to the tens of millions of older Democrats who will then be panicking about why the U.S. Government is not spending trillions of dollars to prevent the Yellowstone supervolcano from destroying North America.
Here is a PDF copy of Newsweeks 1975 panick mongering story on the future disaster of golbal COOLING.
"The Cooling World" - April 28, 1975 Newsweek ................ There are ominous signs that the Earths weather patterns have begun to change dramatically and that these changes may portend a drastic decline in food production with serious political implications for just about every nation on Earth. .........The evidence in support of these predictions has now begun to accumulate so massively that meteorologists are hard-pressed to keep up with it. In England, farmers have seen their growing season decline by about two weeks since 1950, with a resultant overall loss in grain production estimated at up to 100,000 tons annually. ....... "Climatologists are pessimistic that political leaders will take any positive action to compensate for the climatic change, or even to allay its effects. They concede that some of the more spectacular solutions proposed, such as melting the Arctic ice cap by covering it with black soot or diverting arctic rivers, might create problems far greater than those they solve. But the scientists see few signs that government leaders anywhere are even prepared to take the simple measures of stockpiling food or of introducing the variables of climatic uncertainty into economic projections of future food supplies..........."
***********
Journalists have warned of climate change for 100 years, but cant decide weather we face an ice age or warming
Meanwhile, the liberal news media completely ignores the correlation between solar activity and climate change since you cannot blame the U.S. for it and solar activity can't therefore be used to push their political agenda.

Only 400 dissenters? That’s two planeloads, or one cruise ship full. There is an easy solution, an obvious one, then there will be consensus.
With the recent resurgence of Stalinism, old familiar solutions to problems like this become easy to think of.

Merry Christmas, Al Gore. Only 52 support the GW theory and 400 oppose it. Hmmm.
I’m reading “Blacklisted From History”—an in depth look at Communist infiltration into the US government in the 30’s and 40’s. Ann Coulter used this research as the basis for her book “Treason”. The lies associated with GW are exactly like the Communist lies about the Yugoslavian resistance and Chiang Chi Shek forces—the opposite of reality.
I can only surmise that the “vanquished” communists of the world have gone into the Green movement and the watermelon theory “green on the outside, red on the inside” is true.

Otherwise known as politics. Which explains the politicians prominently involved.

Naturally all the doomists/leftists will say that each and every one of these heretics er scientists should be shot er I mean that they’re all paid off by BIG OIL (boo, hiss). Just once I would love to see that nitwit Al Gore try to debate an actual scientist on this issue. It will never happen.

even in the days of Chris Columbus, pretty much everybody who knew stuff knew it was round. I thought even the ancient Greeks knew it was round, estimated the size far better than in Columbus's day, and hypothesized a large land mass on the other side.
I always just assumed the Flat Earth Society was really just a thumb-the-nose gesture at modernity.

It’s actually a Senator Inhofe report: the headline is misleading.
To: chessplayer
They said Inhofe`s site is an unreliable source, I wouldn't say that. It's very reliably and favorably biased toward all skeptical arguments against global warming, no matter the quality.
To: CharlesWayneCT
There are people who believe the Earth is only 6000 years old (some on this forum). Google “Young Earth” sometime. The extreme young earthers believe the universe is only 6000 years old.

A good book on this subject, which rips to shreds the Gore/leftist/media propaganda about man-made global warming, is “Unstoppable Global Warming - Every 1,500 Years” by Singer & Avery. It’s available at amazon.com. Excellent book.
