If we judge our candidates based upon whether or not they’ve lied, I don’t think we’d have much of a field left to choose from. Did Huckabee lie? Who knows. Maybe he felt that if he showed an actual cross behind him, his critics would go ballistic. Or maybe this whole thing is a gross over-reaction from anti-Huckabees. Whatever the case, They’ve all lied at one time or another. Should we throw all of them out because of it?

A Nixon or a Clinton lying doesn't bother me nearly as much as a so-called preacher lying about using the very CROSS.
If a preacher can lie about the cross, he will lie about ANYTHING, and make a lot of rubes and fools believe him, simply because they can't believe a "man of the gospel" would ever lie.

Why is everyone here at FR so upset with Bill Clinton during the latter part of his administration? After all, every politician lies, don't they. And I should not have to read another post lambasting Hiliary Clinton for her many lies. It's not big deal, after all?
Well, that puts candidates in a whole new light. Truth... never mind.
